There's been a lot of random shit on here over the last couple of days. And I've also just read the post in the pooch's closed thread which said something like if you upset Dave you're out.
So I'd just like to say a big thank you to the mods. Firstly, because that post was bollox - as far as I can see there are lots of people who Dave would have banned if that was the way he worked. And all the other mods are the same - or I'd have been banned ages ago for a start (if for telling the same stories over an over again if nothing else)
Secondly, the mods get to sort out the shit when little w@nkers come on here trying to cause trouble.
Thirdly, all the mods have met are lovely.
And fourthly, I'm just apologising to the mod know best that he (and his lovely partner) weren't invited tonight. I'm sorry - we need the BBS to pay for an extension to chez stevek ;) |

Whilst I dont have to much time or respect for how this board is moderated ( banning Matty was well over the top given what their little pet Crack Goblin is allowed to get away with ) I must admit that recently the BBS does seem to have got a rather nasty edge to it and that the quality of recent members is not what is could have been.
My own suggestion would be to limit the posting rights of new members and effectively put them onto a probation period. I would also limit the right to open threads in certain forums to people who contribue financially every month along with offering them the Personal Message facility only rather than to every body who just registers.
As for the Geek that has been hacking accounts, well if my information is correct I believe his identity is known and that a firm hand needs to be applied. |

I accept my knowledge in IT is poor but have been quite 'impressed' by the computer skills of this Jose chap.
Am I right in thinking that if channelled in the right way he could be very useful to the right employer and earn very good money?
I am in way condoning his actions and accept that he must have been a right pain for the mods but in today's world someone with good IT skills is invaluable, especially in my line of work. |

Whilst I don't agree with your first point re MATTY, the rest of your post makes great sense.
It seems that the bigger this board has got, since I started using it all those years ago, the more new posters we have on here trying to make a name for themselves. If I remember rightly, when I joined, the only full on agressive poster was Peaknutt (one of Mr Leonards first alter egos), now the BBS seems to attract a couple every month.
A probation period should be brought in, also questions on the registration form (eg D.O.B.) should be made compulsory.
Personally I'd like to see a minimum age limit put onto new registrations and a full ban on "txt spk", but I'm not sure if many people would support that.
But at the end of the day, this is a huge board and, for the amount of people we have that actually run it, it is an exceptional effort. :p |

As for the rash of recent banning - I'd just like to point out that in the normal run of things these posters would probably still be allowed to post but this weeks activities have lowered the threshold foe getting the boot.

Personally I think it's pretty funny that some people are wanking themselves over his actions, it's only a internet site.
Personally I would put my hands up and say well done to the lad, fair play.
I also see MTE still has no valid reason for being banned. It aint a problem, he can post under my log-in if he wants, or sign up again, but it would be nice for a valid reason. But as usual, the people in question cant. |

C Block, your brother was given several warnings about his behaviour on here, not just by Mods by by people quite close to him. He was, as I understand it, suspended a coupe of times as well, if he was too arrogant, or stupid, to heed these warnings then he deserved everything he got.
As for using your account, seeing as it would lead to yourself being banned, is it worth it? |

The same people have also told me they've had a word with him about his attitude on the BBS, unfortunately you miscontrued my meaning of having "a warning word" and receded into your "I'm a lad who runs with the Palace Boys" persona you have done so well to shake off over the last few years.
As for taking this site seriously, I take it no more seriously than anyone else, I do, however respect it and many of the people on here. And if his sole agenda on here was to "baite" people and wind them up then he shows himself up as;
