Seagullette
It appears he is on his way to us from Falkirk. I believe he played for you a few years ago.
Sussex Eagle
Was universally derided in his time with us. Was a bit harsh, but he was a weak link. Committed but little talent. Oh and shame on him etc.

If its the same bloke...he's short and busy..the occasional bit of skill...but quite boring:)
Vor
Is it true that Flinders might be interested in a return on loan?

I dont think hwe was universally derided, no world beater true, but
He stepped up to the plate during admin days and for that I am grateful
Baron Greenback
He scored a stunning 35 yard goal at Leicester in the cup one year, but little else.

I think he moved to Peterborough after he left us, and I was surprised that he wasn't more of a success there as I always thought he'd do a good job at a lower level.

How old is he now?

There have been rumours of it.

He's 30 later this month.
BaldEagle96
Don't know how he has developed over the years but he was utter shite when he was with us.
RDSdaEAGLE
Opinion was divided IMHO. He's a bit like Green now, some people saw the good in his performances, others just the bad. The truth is he's average at our level, but he had quite an impact at Falkirk. I'd reckon he'll do alright for you lot.
Dal
I think he'll find the Seaweed Scum a step down from Falkirk.
Hedgehog
Didn't he break his leg, and never really come back after that, or am I confusing him with someone else.... and know I don't mean Tommy Black.
Dom the Eagle
That was Craig Harrison.
limited_edition
Was a decent, tidy passer, but lightweight. Didn't get involved in the action enough, which is criminal for a central midfielder.
Hedgehog
Says he is captain at Falkirk.
El D
My recollection is that he was a bit better than this thread sugggests. Busy, and I seem to recall him getting some useful assists.

Which was why the Falkirk fans were puzzled yesterday when he didn't play. Then the news broke that he is on his way to us. A Falkirk fan posted it on one of our sites last night.
west country boy
He scored the winner in a game against Celtic last season. Boo.
dannyboy1807
every goal he scored were screamers, but was a weak and let his head go down to much
Little Matt
IIRC he had a deep Scottish accent that was hard to understand.
Seagullette
He's signed a2 1/2 year deal with us today subject to a medical tomorrow.

I suppose we can forgive his Palace connection. :clown:
Oisin
I think he'll do well
sexyrazor
He left me tickets for the famous Stockport game many moons ago.

Top bloke :)
Bounce back
should have been better than he was, looked a good youngster then faded away to no where

Wouldn't disagree at all, we've had worse that's for sure. But by the end of his spell with us he was receiving a lot of moans 'n groans. Definitely good enough for that shower :)
dufski13
I quite liked him as a player. I though he might go onto to be a decent player for us, but he was always in & out of the team. I reckon he'll do ok at Brighton, he was a neat & tidy player, mostly keeping it pretty simple. Nothing wrong with that.

That goal against leicester was brilliant. That was the same match that Rubins also scored a 35 yarder.
Maximus Dowieus
I always thought he was a decent little player. There were quite high hopes for him but he didnt make it at Palace. Central midfielder. Tidy, busy, decent passer. Should be reasonable acquisition at league one level and he has clearly got experience now at 30. Should be an OK signing for you.
stevek
I had a big row with other Palace fans in the Holmesdale once because they boo-ed him when he was brought on as a sub.

thats all he ever did in 3 seasons!!

commited yes, but he was a weak link in the team towards the end of his palace career. respect to him though for playing during the 'tough'times.
GeeTee
I thought he was OK. Decent cover when called upon.

Naturally, he is immediately Brighton's best player in the last 4 years.
Barreloffun
4 years?
Kirby
He's shit. He'll probably be your best player.
David Amsalem
I suppose at least he tried hard.
CPFC87
His girlfriend, or wife as it may now be has a sister and brother who I went to secondary school & sixth form with who lives down the road from me in East Dulwich.

I doubt it as we have players who are not great but they are better than shit. I mean shit is 'faeces' and that would mean that they or it could not run or even think about playing the game of football. I fail to see how someone could be alikened to shit Mr Kirby in that form of description.

Have you watched a game with a 'steaming poo' in a palace shirt and made your mind up from that? Unless you can substantiate such a comment I will chose to think that making the post made you fell all glowing and powerful and allowed you to bragg to mates in the pub that you are are wit and raconteur extraordinaire. You will also feel that your palace pals on this site will think you are blindingly good egg at the rapier like which you demonstrated which places palace at such a high standard and way, way above anything that we could wish or hope to aspire to.

Can I book you for after dinner speaking?

:D

Await for the knock out blow, mein deutshce chumpf, when he labels you <insert wholly unoriginal homophobic reference> and we will carry him aloft through the streets of Croydon, lauding him for original and cutting jibes. Women will flock to him, men will want to be him.

He is here all week, I beleive.

He's one of my all time Palace heroes, along with every player who put in the kind of effort he did during Administration.

He tried hard and scored the occasional spectacular goal, though the image of him I always remember is seeing him on the Holmesdale road stuffing his face with Mars bars before a game!

Well that's ok. You should have known that Mars bars help you work rest and play. Sadly he didn't exactly play.
heinz 57
neither did Dean Austin, but his applauding of the fans was awesome.
Gosling
Stevie 'The Crab' Thompson - never a great player but he chased around a lot as I recall. Lots of sideways passes. Always seemed like a good lad though.

btw Top Bombing ADE :D

When trying to to belittle someone it helps if you get the basic punctuation right and actually make sense with that which you write.
Not just think you do.

Agree with every word of that.
Selhurst Celtic
I always thought he was pony. Played like he had flippers on his feet.

When all around me were going beserk at Filbert Street when he curled in that beauty I simply looked and scratched my head in disbelief. Mind you I did the same when Rubin's smashed in his scorcher as well that night. I might have been 'unwell' at that game due to suffering the effects of smoke inhalation in the minibus on the way up there though.

How's he playing for your mob?

Too early to say for certain. Indications are that he is tidy and keeps possesion somewhat better that others in the team (not difficult to achieve, I know). Beggining to play some intelligent passes creating space and opportunity for the strikers.
