its not really funny addick, but its not that bad either.
why couldn't you have thought of this in the first place rather than re-acting to the first spoof ! |

Didn't think it was that funny. What i do think is funny is that a support like Charltons with a huge amount of spactards supporting them, consistently call us Nigels.
Anyway, hopefully thats your last attempt at humour as i can see it getting embarrassing now. |

| Charlton life seems like a fairly good site Addick1, though I'm a bit shocked by the level of some of the bitterness on there (and I notice Addickted (may not be the same one) positively creaming himself linking to various things on the BBS like "not sold out" (bit disingenuous that). What are the other Charlton sites like? Is netaddicks still going somewhere? |

Glad i didn't disappoint you Tony :-)
Herb, there are around a dozen Charlton forums, but ours and another called Addickted are the most popular. Thou the average age on there appears to be about 15. Netaddicks died a death when it moved to the club fanzine network. |

| Just had a look at Addickted, but apparently I have to register even to view the charming "let's beat the scum" thread, and to be honest I can't be arsed! |

| It's not as funny as charlton crying at sydenham :p |

| Having spoken to someone on the train, I've heard that the Charlton fans involved weren't as innocent as they like to make out, but it's still pretty poor to glorify that kind of shit. Sydenham wasn't funny at all. |

Thanks Heb.
Lets hope I'm not having to post similar apologies for Charlton 'fans' from Saturday. |

A very very pale imitation of the BBS that's trying to get itself a bit of attention on here.
Charlton Life members 840 - BBS 19,342
posts 203,000 - BBS 6,137,000
a small board for a small club that's trying to get itself noticed. |

| See the irony of using the phrase 'operation Nigel' is clearly lost on them. |

| Sad, laboured, unfunny. I guess if you think saying 'Palarse' is funny or if you're still at primary school then you might find it amusing. |

So Kafka would find it funny then? |

About as amusing as us being called 'clowns' I suppose.
It makes some people happy. |

No, did'nt get any of it.
It was about as meaningful as "Hello Mr Pikey, your house appears to have a puncture". |

I'm sure that Nigel Harman is honoured that the Met are naming such an important operation in his honour.
6/10 for effort, must try harder. |

But clowns sums you up so well. It shows far more wit than a rubbish pun involving the word Palace and arse. |

| That is one of the most pathetic things i have ever read! Haven't they just insulted themsleves by claiming we need to be kept in for their own safety? To be fair there will probably be more of us though... |

I'm with you on this : there has been so much hype from both sets of fans around this game, i'm worried someone will get seriously hurt. No matter who you support, i don't want this to happen. |

For a moment I assumed it was a naive attempt at trying to boost future attendances. Let's face it they have to bus in supporters from caravanville in deepest Kent usually so keeping some of us there must have appealed as a marketing strategy.
Still at least we know there won't be any chants of cheerio to us when we go two up! |
