click on IMG
insert picture URL.

Thanks for the pic.
OK, starting from the basics I just checked out 'URL' on wikipedia and now (sort of) know what you are talking about.
But say I do a search on google images and see the picture I want, how do I get the URL? Do I need to click on the image to find the original source of the photo and then copy the address beggining 'http'?

In firefox on pc, right click on an image, select copy image location, then start a new post on BBS, click img button and paste (Control V) the image location into pop up window and submit. |

When I right click I don't have 'copy image location'. I do get 'Copy Shortcut' which is what I tried above. Failed again :( |

| Find a picture on the net that you like right click on that picture and select properties there you will find the URL of that picture thats the URL that you want to enter when posting |

click the img button when you make a post and put that url in it and you get:

Alternative.
Open up an account with www.photobucket.com or any of the other image hosting websites.
Right click picture
Go to "save as"
Save in "My Pictures"
Go to website
Click "My Album"
"Browse"
Find the picture you want and double click
Press upload
When the picture has uploaded right click the IMG URL
Copy
Come back to bbs
Paste
Hit reply button |

You got the hang of this yet:
- Do a google image search
- Click on "see full-size image"
- Copy the url/ address from the address bar
- Press "post reply" on the BBS
- Click on IMG then paste the url you copied into the popup
- Make sure there is only one http://

simple way to do it: It's like a sandwich - kind of like it means 'image' and 'close image'
so... '[img]http:whatever you choose from the address bar of google images[/img]'
for example - copy http://www.elitealpacaauction.com/I...g/Boos_Male.jpg
and paste it inbetween the [img]httpp:and close [/img]
and you get

Yep, follow chatham_eagle's easy guide.
I found that my firewall was causing a problem in not letting the pop up box appear when you click IMG. Once I allowed pop up's and followed c_e's advice it was a sinch. |

You can load it up onto the site by Attaching a file, then linking it with [img]'s, but it takes up space so understandably; mod's prefer people to use online image cache's.
I use photobucket. But there are others about.
