I'm sure if the request had been spotted by a mod, it would have been done. I certainly would have done, although it strikes me as a bit late now.
Best way is to pm a mod with the request when the thread is first put up and not leave it to chance.
I don't agree that the stickies that have been sanctioned are 'silly' though. Maybe you have a specific in mind. |

both princess and myself have asked in these threads to be made stickys , are you saying not a single mod read the thread ? Also the thread in general chit chat was actually made a sticky for a very short time .
individual charity events , adverts for fanzines etc have been made as stickys .
a legend at crystal palace , former captain and ex england international gets a game played on his behalf to raise money for his charity and it gets ' overlooked ' and its left to people to bump the thread .
perhaps someone could explain why ? |

Stu, I have already and now stuck the one in GPD - the most appropriate place for it.
I can't speak for other mods, but I certainly hadn't clicked on the thread until now for three reasons:
1) I already knew about the event and had made arrangements to go, way back.
2) I've recently been in Oz for a month and matchdays aside, I've spent very little time on the BBS.
3) As threads go, this is the last one I would have expected any contention to arise on and I'm guessing my fellow mods felt the same, hence overlooking the question.
As far as I can see, there's nothing funny going on... |

| Can I also add that having just looked at the thread log for the one GCC, it has never been a sticky, I think you are mistaken on that point, mate. |

I have stuck a few threads like this ,9 times out of ten the poster has made us (Mods) aware, asked very politely if it could be made a sticky instead of bitching like you Stu.
So the next time you feel a thread deserves to be a sticky try asking instead of bitching and feeling disgusted when it's you who should have asked.
