One of my favourite Palace players in recent years- always seemed that he had a touch of class about him.
Remember him getting double figures in goals one year and a lovely chap off the pitch too.
Anyone else a bit surprised he hasn't achieved more in his career? |

Quality.
I recall someone talking to those clowns Ray Houghton and Glenn Cockerill who thought the only top flight player Palace had was Kolinko (I think). Any way the point was they didn't rate Mullins and Morrison as much as many fans did. |

| Great player from his early days in the first team; preferred him playing as an attacking midfielder when he scored so many goals. |

Not really.
I rate Mullins and to be fair, he has gone on to be a solid, steady Premiership player for a mid table team. |

I thought he'd go on to be a goalscoring midfielder, but he's been a victim of his own versitility.
Even some (many?) Palace fans erroneously stated he'd be better at centre back.
He always was a midfielder as he's proved to good effect, being a solid pro for West Ham
Alan Smith was once bemoaning his lack of a goalscoring midfielder. It was pointed out to him that he'd played Mullins at right back, when he was a player who'd scored 9 or 10 goals the season before. Smith denied that playing Mullins in midfield would've made a difference and expressed genuine surprise that Mullins had been that prolific. Clueless manager. (Good interview with him in today's SLP though) |

I loved Hayden to bits and was devastated when he left, and to this day I still buy him on Football Manager :D

| I liked him. Good player, seemed very professional. However, I wouldn't have expected him to do any better than he has done. I don't honestly think we've had any truly international class players since Wright, Martyn and Lombardo. |
