| I was gutted when England didn't make it but maybe the tournament has been better off without us. Certainly the organisers and Police must of breathed a huge sigh of relief, I notice that practically every game the fans haven't been segregated yet the atmosphere has been great and I don't think there's been any trouble either other than a few minor incidents at Germany v Poland. Sad but I don't think our presence has been missed. |

| I wouldn't say our presence has been missed but I wouldn't say it's been better without us neither. |

| I imagine the police there would know how to handle the England fans well. |

| It was so much better without people pretending England can win it. |

| Didn't watch much of it, don't really care about the other countries or who won it, only would of watched England and Romania for personal reasons, other teams bore me, i never enjoy watching neutral football, so on a personal level, can't say i enjoyed or didn't enjoy as i didn't watch it |

I think it was better, purely for the fact that the muppets weren't getting pi$$ed and thinking that we would win it.
However, the Turkish, German, Croatian and Polish fans were just as bad as we've been in the past.
They just don't get the same coverage. Please don't believe the hype. |

Fair enough but I completely don't understand how anyone who likes football doesn't enjoy watching it, there were some fantastic matches. |

It is a super competition with or without us. I did however find it annoying that the BBC, ITV and the media had to sell their 'better without England' angle at every given opportunity.
I really didn't have time for the little segments on Capello or how England would perform against Turkey or whatever. Fact is we weren't there.
Ultimately despite the hype, bad fans and inevitable disappointment I still want to watch England play in these competitions. |

It annoyed me when the likes of say 'Arry in punditry kept going on about how England would have been one of the better teams there, blah, de blah. No we wouldn't. We don't keep the ball well enough at international level. Besides, get over it. We didn't qualify, and we need to look to the likes of Spain and the way they pass it around patiently if we want to progress in the future. I for one am a tad concerned about Croatia in our WC qualifying group. Only one team is guaranteed to qualify from the group and I think the best 2nd place teams qualify or go through to a Play Off. |

| I've enjoyed it and being able to watch from a totally neutral viewpoint has been fun in a way. But never again, I want England to make these things in furture, it creates a buzz round the whole country and ultimately the gutwrenching highs and lows of following a team at a tournament is surely what it's really about. Roll on South Africa! |

Do you enjoy this 'Buzz'? I think its a pile of wank.
The 'football experts' suddenly come out of the closet and go to the pub and say 'Sven's shit' 'Cappello's shit' 'We're amazing' 'We're crap' 'Shoot' 'Lump it'.
Then once the tournaments over these experts crawl back under the rock they came from, and start wearing their Man Utd/Chelsea/Liverpool shirts.
Thats why this tournament has been so great! |
