Starlets primed for loan departures
Palace chief Neil Warnock will allow a batch of his young stars leave the club on loan to gain vital first-team experience.
Youngsters Ryan Carolan, Jamie Smith, Billy Bingham and Aaron Dalhouse all signed professional contracts before the end of last season, while highly-rated trio Ashley Robinson, James Dayton and Wales U21 international Rhoys Wiggins are hoping to make deeper inroads into Warnock?s first team plans next season.
However, Warnock has told the Advertiser that he is ready to offload those youngsters temporarily in a bid to speed up the learning process.
He said: ?If I feel it is advantageous for the young players to go out on loan then I will do that.
?But I will look at them during pre-season before making any decision.?

If he stays fit, this could be a big season for Dayton.
But then that if is a big one too! |

These appear to be the 2nd and 3rd tier of youngsters that we have in terms of development.
Hills, Scannell and Victor
----------------------------
Robinson, Dayton and Wiggins
----------------------------
Carolan, Smith, Bingham, Dalhouse.
Others that could be here are Abnett, Da Sylva and Sekajja although I dont think that they have developed as of yet to be playing full-time football as of yet. Especially the last two as they are both very young.
Has anyone heard anymore about this young chinese kid that we have who is 8 years old and apparently Mick Jones has been raving about him. |

Oh my God!
How are we going to wait another 8 years before he makes his debut
Maybe we should just put him on the bench next season and with 30 secs to go and being three nil up, put in on to get the record off Bostock as Palace's (and the worlds) youngest player :)
Maybe we should start another thread, to discuss his progress that could beat the Nugent thread :o |

Having seen Dayton play a few times, I would put him right up there with the best of our youth talent in terms of skill.
A really promising winger - but a little lightweight and injury prone. |

| With all the midfielders that Spurs are currently buying - what is the betting that Jimmy Bostick (ex-Palace wonder kid) will pitch up in the Championship on one of these type of loans? - oh, the irony! |

Hes way too good for this level. Don't you know that he scored 2 (yes 2!!!) goals in a youth match against Watford!!! What a wonderkid!!! |
|

| He would have to experience that pain of stagnating once again in this league which is so obviously beneath his level |
|

| Good move for all of them - better than the Palace reserves |

It's a massive season for Wiggins and Dayton. Hopefully they can get in and around our squad and prove themselves as it's a shame when a youngsters career never gets going due to injury.
Fray and Spence might still be at the club if they hadn't struggled so much with injuries. |

Injury free dayton and wiggins would be in senior squad already imo. |
|
|
| pauldrulez |
Exactly, thats why they are in the 2nd tier as their development has been badly affected by injuries and fitness problems.
Would love them both to come through just to prove that point. Another full back would be useful and you cant have enough wingers in our team. So both Rhoys and James could play a part in Neils plans in the mid-point of the season |

| Good thing bout youngsters is even if they aren't fans of the club they play for they know what the club is about/means to fans alot more than outsiders coming in. Bostock aside. The squad has good balace of youth and experience, though Mr NW it would be better if you kept DF and CM on:) |

To be honest i think Johns decison was wrong but it's down to him because he know's what hes getting. I Havent spoke to him for a while as i havent seen him but i hope he does really well.
This is what I never really understood about Bostock. As a Palace fan, I know that if I had the talent I would want to be an absolute palace legend, up there with the Lombardo's, Freedman's and Darren Pitcher's...
John knew he would have been in that bracket eventually had he stayed and played football for at least a bit... but he didnt. He chose to go to a club which means nothing to him, and a club where he means nothing to them. Fair enough maybe later on in his career, to see how far he could go. I dont think any palace fan would hold that against him...but I think he has missed out on being somebody who would be remembered for years to come perhaps.
So anyway... I guess thats just me being a palace fan. I expect those in that situation would have a different view on things. But Kyle if you get the chance to become a palace legend, then take it, because you dont get that kind of chance at many clubs! - and remember all of us who want to do that but cant! ;) |

Well done for coming on the BBS and many many thanks for giving us your thoughts.
We are very excited about the Palace Academy - it gives us something known that we can look forward to, whereas you never know who's going to be bought and whether they'll do the business.
I hope you can keep coming back to the BBS and giving us a picture of one of the best things (except for the pies, obviously) about CPFC.
Finally, hope you're having a good summer, and good luck at school.

Best to steer clear of anything you feel uncomfortable with. You'll find some on here feel that because they pay to watch games or buy season tickets, they are entitled to know the ins and outs of anything to do with CPFC. You'll soon learn who those people are and ignore them :) |

What do you think your chances are in breaking the youngest player record?
How much contact do the U18s have with Neil Warnock and does he communicate with players your age frequently or not very often. Or does Mick Jones handle most of it. |
