Teenagers. If I’d have spoken to my mum like mine do to the Mrs sometimes, my old man would have put me into next week

Teenagers when they say 'I'm bored' and expect you to correct it for them

My daughter has just turned 13 and has been doing this for months, causes big problems between me and Mrs Maidstoned as I feel it shows a lack of respect that needs to be addressed.

The way my son speaks. There is never a "t" pronounced, "beneath" becomes "beneaf".

The use of kilometres, I have no idea what you are talking about. I like watching wildlife programmes on the tv but when they give facts out like this animal can run a 40 kmh or can fly 100 kilometres a day I just cant visualise what that is. I know what a mile is, I know what 40 mph is I can relate to that it is what my car says Im doing. Who in the uk uses kilometres?

5/8ths of a mile
There is an app that does a Metric/imperial conversion of everything. Find it useful sometimes especially when looking to buy on the Web

They all do it. My boy was the same when he was a teenager.

Take em to the top of a skyscraper and hang em over the edge.

Boredom gone. Works every time.

Good job you don't live in Thornton Heath then...

Disclaimer: I have this problem also, and blame by Croydon/Bromley upbringing. Don't ever ask me to say the number 33.

Aks instead of ask. Why?

Polak 14-01-2018 07:42 PM

I wanted to park in front of my house but someone has parked there which they're quite entitled to do. However, they've parked half in front of my house and half in front of next door which means they're taking up 2 spaces. Cheers mate

‘Awesome’, people just seem to enjoy saying
It.

And ‘sick’ or ‘so sick’ I can’t stand. Sure slang was cool when you were 13 and wanted to sound different from your parents but not when you are an adult.

Those sisters in the Nationwide ad are starting to grind my gears

Hedgehog 14-01-2018 08:20 PM

Is it a natural instinct for little girls playing/running around in a group to scream in an ear shattering shrill, or it it something they lean to do by peer pressure or from video games?

I want to believe it is naturally inbred in them and they seem to have always done it, so can't blame video games for this one.

(Neighbours kids are having a party and there are about 10 kids under 10 having a water pistol fight in the back yard - sounds like some are getting murdered)
