my 3G has arrived, but I want to transfer all my apps and shit from my 2G, how do I do this?

Dave 10-02-2009 05:16 PM

plug it in to your computer...

GodstoneEagle 10-02-2009 05:18 PM

before or after 2G?

Dave 10-02-2009 05:25 PM

plug in 2g - sync - backup and then plug in new phone.

Should 'just work'

I kind of meant, are there any negative implications?

having to jailbreak everytime there is an update is a pita.

Hallo all :hi:

my 16GB 3G is one the way to me tomorrow! :D

Dave 10-02-2009 09:25 PM

Ricky - we lied - the iphone is rubbish :)

Anonymous 10-02-2009 09:39 PM

I'm sure it'll be loverly :)

Kevin T 10-02-2009 10:10 PM

But they've only just announced the 32gb is coming out next month?

Anonymous 10-02-2009 11:58 PM

sod it, 16GB is big enough for me I'm sure.

edit: in any case, my N95 was literally falling to bits. I'll have to try and be a little bit more careful with my Jesus Phone.

They are a little more robust than a nokia...

Anonymous 11-02-2009 12:10 AM

Jolly good job too, it'll need to be! :D

Anonymous 11-02-2009 12:11 AM

What are the chances of bricking when jailbreaking then chaps?

Brett 11-02-2009 12:46 AM

Dave will know best but it's nothing that can't be undone.

I haven't jailbroken - actually found o2 to be ok on this occasion.

Anonymous 11-02-2009 01:01 AM

whooooah! What's this funky shizzle? does this mean I can play Wipeout on the go?

Anonymous 11-02-2009 01:01 AM

As long as you can't brick it that's cool I guess - not that I've broken anything else that I've 'broken' in the past.

Jailbreaking means you can install a bunch of free software

Unlocking means running on other networks

Bricking is virtually impossible, losing all your data seems pretty easy though

Ta Dave.

Do I have to use iTunes (spit) to upload tunes of can I use Anapod/etc like a normal iPod?
