Same goes for BootP and Static

Yeah - you aren't connected. You have an arbitary IP address 169.254.49.24 and no default route (router) - my best guess is that you aren't authenticating on the network properly

Yeah, it's definitely less purty but what you going to do.

Brett 06-02-2009 07:18 PM

Have you got any cracks in yours yet? I bet you work your mobile a bit as well.

Dave 06-02-2009 07:33 PM

Drop it all the time, no damage to screen, rest of it is battered though.

Kevin T 06-02-2009 08:11 PM

My Home button stopped working earlier and I realised I had no idea how to turn the thing off. The button at the top just puts it in standby mode.

Luckily my colleague showed me how to do it. It's a bit strange that for such an advanced bit of kit, you don't get a user manual with it (apart from that finger tips thing)

Brett 06-02-2009 08:17 PM

It's intuitive, Kev... ;)

I think they treat their customers as if they have the intelligence to download it, thus saving paper, thus saving the world! ;)

You should buy a nice case.

Kevin T 06-02-2009 10:20 PM

I am shit scared about dropping mine. They are slippery little bastards.

Blind_Eagle 06-02-2009 10:38 PM

I bought this sticky backed leather 'case' from eBay for about 90p wacked it on and hey presto slippy back iPhone problem solved.

I've taught James not to say "Daddy's Phone" anymore and to say "Jesus Phone" instead.

Dave 07-02-2009 12:08 PM

cases on a jesus phone is just wrong

GodstoneEagle 07-02-2009 01:33 PM

Dave is right. It is like fitting a curtain in front of the mona lisa, why cover up such immense beauty?

if you drop an iphone the screen breaks as recently demonstrated to me (not everytime though obviously), so other than leaving it in the box to look at how else can you protect it at least a bit from drunken women

Kevin T 08-02-2009 08:35 AM

Women, drunk or anything else, shouldn't be allowed near the Jesus phone
