Easy to deal with though, just stand close enough to the platform edge to make it dangerous for them to get in front of you. And hold your ground.

Oh yes there's nothing saying 'no walking' but by virtue of the fact they are national cycle route tracks you would think they would choose to walk somewhere else ? It's like my riding my bike along some horse gallops.
