CPFC BBS - Things that annoy you

One thing that pisses me off is ordering Coke and being given some feeble substitute for Coke on the assumption that by Coke I mean whatever shitey brand of generic cola happens to be available. No I don't. I mean f***ing Coke FFS. There is no such thing as an acceptable substitute.

And the number of places that stock Pepsi instead of Coke seems to be rising. Waiting staff are frequently surprised when I won't accept Pepsi instead of Coke.

You drink coke, enough said. Its all toilet.

As an aside, does anyone remember that Coke Lite stuff from a while back? It was what most corner shops stocked - presumably a cheap import from somewhere. That was foul too.

I absolutely would. I've called these places out on it dozens of times on it and been correct in 100% of cases. And my sister-in-law can tell the difference without even tasting it.

Was in the pub trade for years, had loads of people claiming they could tell the difference...not one of them could. In fact one guy, who was adamant to the point of arrogance, was served Pepsi for 6 months without realizing.
