I can also tell the difference between Diet Coke and Coke Zero. Did I read somewhere that Coca Cola were aiming Coke Zero at men and Diet Coke at women in their advertising?

And I can also tell the difference between Roses Lime Cordial (the best) and other own label stuff.

Is that by the labels on the bottles?

I think Pete should organise a blind tasting challenge with the bollox brigade purely for BBS entertainment - I will organise some sandwiches in tupperware.

No, by taste - really. The same way I could tell the difference between a good Youngs beer and Watneys Party Seven. And Sainsbury's Own Label chocolate and Lindt or Green and Blacks. And beef and lamb.

If I am being whooshed, please put me out of my misery.... (although I appreciate the entertainment value)

Are we talking about bottle or cans here, or those terrible dispenser things they have behind the bar these days (well here at least)?

The dispensers are basically dispensing bubbly coloured water...

A mate booked a singer for her mums birthday, the singer used her phone for the backing tracks.

Nope. Roses has a cleaner, sharper taste.

You can taste the artificial sweetener in most other lime cordials.

It doesn’t need soda water for that.

Fear and lack of imagination, I should think. Or, of course, a job or business they really love.

Bluetoothed. Worse still she was using You Tube backing tracks so some still had the "sting" or jingle of the particular channel at the start.

In my teens, I went out with a girl primarily because she drank pernod & black & was therefore a delicious snog.
