It's hard to keep an eye on the ball cards-wise when there aren't many left to collect - the ones that really have frustrated me more than any are a Casket team card F228 - again by Patreiouex and from 1922 - it came up on ebay years ago and went for close to a hundred quid I seem to remember.

Didn't realise you didn't have it, mate.

It really is a tatty card - those snaps were from my webcam - I'll do you a proper scan when I next brave the cold office and post front and back here and you'll see how bad it really is. Probably paid slightly over the odds, given it's condition, but hey.

The Pattreouix Team photo was up in in the last Dealers catalogue I received back in the summer with a price of £45, sadly I wasn't quick enough off the mark to grab it.

My budget was £30 for the card, which I have listed as Dealer Price, although as no examples have come up in cats. I get it's difficult to know, all I know is that I was relieved when the inevitable snipe bid hit just under my limit!

Yes, I do feel a bit bad for not responding to Archiebald Leitch, which I will do now:

It's fairly common example, Archie - it's not going to make anyone rich, but it's a nice card, all the same. Was given away with a Comic of the era...

Here's the scans:

You can see just how tatty it is here...

Dorking .Eagle 13-12-2010 01:29 PM

Thanks for that Neil. Yes it's really tatty, but until a better condition example comes along, it's good to have in your collection

If you just want to cheat and order the Palace ones, the 'missing stickers' online ordering service isn't open for the 2011 collection yet

This seasons offering is from Topps
Match Attax, the world's most popular football trading card game, has teamed up with The Football League to produce its first ever collection for the npower Championship.

The brand new Match Attax Championship Edition goes on sale on 15th December 2011 and features the biggest names from all 24 clubs in the Championship.

The collection comprises 292 cards, including Star Player foil cards and boosted Man of the Match specials, as well as an exclusive Limited Edition card inside every Starter Pack.

Rod Pearson, Sports Marketing Director at Topps, comments: "The new Championship Edition cards feature all the stats you'd expect from Match Attax and gives players and collectors alike an exciting new way to extend their Match Attax collection".

Every Match Attax card features a range of fun statistics so that kids can rank the players according to passing, crossing, shooting, blocking, tackling and heading as well as attack and defence.

Gary Linke, Business Development Manager at The Football League adds: "The Football League is committed to engaging with the next generation of supporters and the npower Championship Match Attax collection is ideal for getting youngsters excited about the competition.

"It is fantastic to be working with the industry's leading trading card brand and we look forward to a long lasting relationship that continues to build enthusiasm around Championship football for children across England and Wales."

"children"??? The cheek!!!LOL

Thanks for the heads up Stu!

For those who just want all the Palace cards, and don't wish to colect the whole set, there is a seller on ebay (dannybaggie) who sells the various cards separately.

There are 9 'standard' cards (8 players plus Freedman)

Then one 'Man of the Match' card (Speroni)
and two 'Star Player' cards (Murray and Ambrose)

So 12 Palace cards in all

there are 4 extra special cards in the series, but none of these are Palace players.

:)

Got them all. Very nice 'laminated' style finish

89 Freedman
90 Speroni
91 Ramage
92 McCarthy

94 KG
95 Jedinak
96 Ambrose (Star Player foil)
97 Murray (Star Player foil)
98 Zaha
99 Scannell
273 Speroni (Man of the Match foil)
