It's simply perforated cards on the inside of the back cover.

I thought the same thing. The very recent programme at Arsenal was difficult to read without accidentally perforating the cut out player figure for example.
Modern programmes (even sell outs) are rarely worth the cover price after the event except to a handful of completists, so just do whatever you will get the most enjoyment from. I suspect that only a minority of regular programme purchasers will even bother to complete the collection in the binder, so a complete one of those will be rare in itself. In one of Simon Jordan's first couple of seasons everyone who bought an 'Eagle Gold' (programme voucher book) qualified for a free programme 'binder', yet hundreds didn't even bother to collect theirs and the club shop ended up selling them off for a quid each. |
The new Match Attax cards will be out very soon. Next Tuesday's Match of the Day magazine includes a free packet (they won't be in the shops to buy though for a couple more weeks)

The binder is pretty much what I expected it to be, and at least it has a bit of printing on the front.
Downside is there are only enough sleeves (10) to fit all the cards in if you put them back to back. I'll probably buy a 2nd binder so that they can all be inserted facing forwards. The cards themselves (ignoring the Nigel Martin error - and I am sure they will be proof read from now on) do lack a great deal of design. If you look at modern collectors cards (eg Topps) they take care to select the best action image of each player, and the cards themselves have a smart design. These do look a little like a first attempt. I guess the programme itself is a big piece of work, and adding these cards to it involves probably a whole season of forward planning. When it is finished and the binder is complete though, it'll look good. On the subject of Topps, todays Match of the Day Magazine comes with the first preview cards from this seasons Match Attax. No Palace cards have yet been spotted in opened preview packs, but they do come with the PL Trophy card, so if you are completing the set and want that card, this is the mag to get. |
dont really want the album for the cards...just want the cards themselves. But then I dont ever buy a programme lol. Any thoughts?

Just ask on this thread
http://www.cpfc.org/forums/showthrea...ghlight=WANTED I'm sure there will be someone who buys the programme but doesn't especially want the cards who might send them to you if you pay their postage? Reminds me, there's a couple of bits I'm after that I should ask if anyone has got on there. |

This duo card is the best of the set (for Palace collectors)

Match attax cards for 14/15 are up on Ebay for sale already - you can pickup all the Palace ones for less than a fiver :)
It's a shame the cards in the Palace programme have no proper info on the backs, a biography would have been an excellent idea I would happily have done this for them for each picture if they'd give it a little thought. Nice idea to do it though. |
Hoping David will update us with any variations? :)....guaranteed there will be plenty !!!
Id still like to get hold of the "programme" ones....dont want the album though |
Dwight Gayle 74 power, while Yala is 61?
Well that's well wrong, as Bruno knows only too well |
The only variations so far really are that on Sunday and yesterday, the free sheet of Match Attax cards that you can claim from Tesco's when you buy The Sun have perforations (as you have to pop them out of the sheet yourself).
The cards concerned are Delaney and Chamakh, but in all other respects these cards are identical. None of the other cards in this free promotion are Palace. The 'hard one' to get this year is a "Pro11" card of Bolasie. To get that one, you have to enter codes from match attax packets in oder to buy a squad of players, then play the online match attax fantasy football game and be in the top 500 players for that week. Or just buy it for some £££ price on ebay. (The online game hasn't started yet BTW - believe its November) In due course, there will be Russian, Vietnamese and Asian versions of the cards, plus in January, the Extra series |
