Are people still having battery problems after the latest upgrade?

I have put off upgrading until I hear they've sorted whatever the problem was.

My wife has a 3GS and she has said her battery drops in % rather suddenly than before the upgrade. My 3G iphone seems not to have the same issue.

Mine is a 3G and I'm definately seeing a dramatic drop in battery life. I don't have push notifications, location services, 3G, bluetooth etc on and since the upgrade I'm about 50% of what I was beforehand. It's liveable but a pain.

My 3G seems to have just the same battery life as before the upgrade (As in rather poor!) ;)

Baloo 01-03-2010 04:34 PM

Thanks people. I'll continue to avoid the upgrade then until they sort the problem out.

Blind_Eagle 01-03-2010 04:47 PM

I haven't noticed any change in battery life on my 3G since the update.

Have you actually tried to get an upgrade from O2 for your iPhone 3G? :D

GodstoneEagle 10-03-2010 06:11 PM

My mobile internet hasn't worked all day

kolinkins 10-03-2010 06:13 PM

Does anyone elses phone randomly switch off? Mine has done it 4 or 5 times now. Battery is around 70%, but pressing the home button or the one on the top does not work - so I need to keep both pressed for a few seconds. Why does this happen?

that would be a hardware fault

GodstoneEagle 10-03-2010 06:45 PM

I have just plugged my iPhone into my mac and it just carried on like normal, have they always been able to run on both? If i plug it into my PC again will it still work?

it probably is hardware but have you restored it first?

My 3GS does that, does it about once a day, has done so for about a month now. Doesn't annoy me that much as it only happens when out of action for a while, so doesn't just cut out, and most of the time I don't even notice it!
