I like the iPhone, by the way, just think it's about time that the iPhone offered something that you could get on the majority of smart phones.

Palm are either going to go under or are be bought by another big player for a pittance.

Pre and Pixi have had disastrous sales.

People aren't going to put up with a smart phone that feels as cheap and nasty.

Talk is that Lenovo are lining Palm up - I think that would be a welcome move.

Despite the poor build quality of the handset, you can't deny that the OS is way ahead of iPhone OS and Android.

They shot themselves in the foot with poor advertising and quality-control issues.

The point is though, that it has taken Apple four years to do something that other companies have been doing for some time. All of their phones are multi-tasking capable.

The point is that Apple have sold over 50 million iPhones, and people have downloaded over one billion apps. They're in an enviable (and slightly worrying) position of being able to not offer features others have had for a while, and still be number 1.

I hope we really see a killer Android soon, as even though I love my iPhone and currently wouldn't swap it for anything, Apple's obsessive control is not to my liking.

I still haven't backup my iphone because i'm worried about losing my contacts. I tried to import my itunes playlists and it only worked for a few so i'm having to go back though and re make them, nightmare.

As for the contacts the above article tells me how to sync them. I however am syncing them to a new PC with Itunes but didnt have my previous contacts on there.

So if i plug in with the above instructions onto a new PC will i lose my contacts ?
is the short question.
