I am still on 4.3.3 and jail-broken - but only so as I can avoid the ridiculous 20mb restriction on 3g iTunes/Apps downloads. There isn't any other pressing reason to JB now, so far as I am concerned.

Does anyone know if you can get round this restriction by using a VPN on the iPhone? if you can, I might upgrade and lose the JB.

Obviously when my iPhone 4s arrives (hopefully tomorrow) that will not be JB, and there is no JB available for that OS as yet.

By the way, there seem to be a huge number of App updates available at the moment - I assume because everyone is preparing for OS5.

I like the android style notification window, it's smart (albeit stolen)

should ibooks sync PDF over devices wirelessly?

Oh - and for those that travel alot the calendar now works with timezone properly.

I JB for the DisplayOut to HDMI on my iPad, but agree, jb is not really pressing.

Don't have an iPhone so can't pass comment on that.

Oh and the button api changes are nice (buttons and menus look nicer)

I've read this morning that installing iOS 5 on an iPhone 4 will seriously slow it down because the new processor in the 4S is considerably faster and built to cope with the extra requirements of the new OS.
Rather than be faced with a painfully slow phone again like I was when I installed iOS 4 on my last iPhone 3G has anyone installed it yet?
Apparently it was made available to iPhone 3GS/4 users at Midnight just gone...

Works fine for me, seems slightly faster too.

Also have installed the iOS5 jailbreak and pretty much most of the Cydia apps still work :p

Works fine for me, i like the new notifications views and pull down panel, havent used imessenger yet but sounds pretty similar to whatsapp.

I've updated to iOS5 on both my phone and ipad but can't find the notification app. I assumed there woud be an icon but an't find anything.

i guess i'm being dumb but any ideas please?

Also noted that I dont have the came icon on the lock screen :confused:

Also anyone worked the LED flash for alerts?

for notifications pull down from the top of the screen. camera in lock screen comes up when you double press the home button

double click for the the camera icon as you would to change track from the lock screen previously.

To access the the notifications swipe down from the top of the screen, you can go to settings, notifications to customise which apps you wish to recieve notifications from
