just a heads up for those getting new contracts o2 is now not including any data with its plans which I think I personally htink is ridiculous!

The data now comes in bundles of £3 per 100mb £6 for 500mb or £10 for 1gig

What a fecking joke. Hope they lose loads of customers. I remember last year when they changed from truly unlimited data to the capped data that they still wrongly called unlimited. Gave me the hump at the time but luckily for me I upgraded just before they done it.

scandalous really although the monthly rental has gone down slightly but I think they've all dumped the unlimited data on the contract I went for which was 24 month, no handset fee,£36/month but I've gone for the £6 500 mb data bundle, and a 1000 mins/month to fellow 02 users, which puts me up to exactly the amount I was on before, no doubt I'll exceed my allowance!

if you are still crazy enough to get one from o2 you can check stock levels here before venturing out...

nothing left around croydon in the 16gigs

Well, they have lost me to Three.

The O2 deals without data are arguably the best available - but who would seriously want a new iPhone without the ability to make full use of 3g? Three offer truly unlimited data on the One Plan for £35 per month and - in addition - allow tethering without additional cost. For me that is the clincher.

Goodbye O2, it was a great relationship whilst it lasted, but the time has come to go our separate ways.

Have you gone for the 2 year contract, Jimbo? I thought you had enough of marriage?

I'm going to buy a phone and keep theat and give my partner my 4 and by the time the five comes out my contract will be up when I think ill just go sim only with three or giffgaff

I just dont like those really long contracts!

Ridcully 14-10-2011 11:33 PM

You can upgrade on three after 18 months even if you are in contract so the guy was telling me today.

I want to move from O2 to Three but annoyingly, according to their coverage map, I seem to be in a pocket of about 5 roads where they suggest I may struggle to get a signal indoors.

Guess I will have to stick to O2, but even though my 3G phone is virtually dead there was no way I was going to queue for hours today. Hopefully will get sorted in the next few days.

Try Three before you make a decision. Get hold of a Three sim card and try it out - you may be surprised. On the coverage map, I am not supposed to get a signal, but I get 4/5 bars.

Cheers, I will give it a go.

i went 64, but purely because my 32gb 3gs was full to the brim already, depends what you plan to use if for how much music/video you have/plan to have?

You can get a PAYG SIM for nought I believe.

O2 will also unlock your existing iPhone for free if you give them a call.

Sorry if this has already been mentioned. I've just completed the ios5 update + lost all the music on my I phone?? I then had to manually drag all the music back into my phone, however before the upgrade my phone had around 2400 songs in it plus loads of music vids + a few episodes of inbetweeners.
Now after the upgrade my phone can handle only 1900 songs???
I've trimmed back all my apps/photos on my phone + erased all videos. Still a lack of memory. I have a 32gb phone however when I go to settings/general/about it says my phone only has 28gb memory??
Has anyone had the same issues + any idea how I can get the memory back which I've lost?
Thanks.
