I thought this was meant to be some sort of super phone ;)

pauldrulez 22-10-2011 01:23 PM

Funny, I haven't had a problem at all with any of it.

This. Occasionally I miss a text but I think that is my own stupidity.

GodstoneEagle 25-10-2011 06:04 PM

Why is there no visual voicemail on three? :grrr:

Can i ask a question please regarding this iMessage business.

I don't entirely get it and how it works.

Sometimes when i text it goes through blue (and gets delivery report) and then at other times it goes through as green and says sent as text yet bot phone are on Wi-Fi. If this happens does it mean that the problem is why my Wi-Fi/phone or the other persons? Yet at the same time i have a few other people that are on it and it never fails but to send as iMessage.

can mean your wifi is having an issue or their servers aren't answering fast enough

It's a flakey service like EVERY other apple cloud service

At least people will finally stop asking when Flash is coming to the iPhone: story

How can i prove or disprove either of these Dave?

Sometimes it goes straight through and flashes delivered straight away and other times it can take ages and then goes green saying 'sent as text' - frustrating to say the least especially if having a quick conversation. Also i thought it was supposed to work on 3G so should revert that if wifi not available and then lastly through normal mobile SMS text?

Apple have issued a iOS update, which apparently addresses battery life issues ...

iOS 5.0.1 Software Update

This update contains improvements and other bug fixes, including:

• Fixes bugs affecting battery life
• Adds Multitasking Gestures for original iPad
• Resolves bugs with Documents in the Cloud
• Improves voice recognition for Australian users using dictation

Both my iPhone & iPad have just updated to 5.0.1 without me having to use the hateful iTunes. Happy days. :)

Expect incoming from the Scots.

Unfortunately it doesn't fix the bug in the iPad version which has podcasts playing at half speed. It also hasn't returned the double-speed option.

Argh...

Bloody iTunes.

Thought I'd have a quick sync tonight but it didn't want to recognise my phone and would only let me restore factory settings. Not a problem in itself but it wouldn't let me back it up first so I've had to revert to my last backup. Ok it was only 2 days ago but still I've lost some quite important texts.

And a good hour of my life :(

And it doesn't want to resync my podcasts.

Feckin' Apple.

Quick and silly question here, just went on a simplicuty sim, and have 500mb of internet data, does the data only get used when you go on the web and aps etc? are you connected to the web all the time and does it use your limit?
