Osmosis, field runners and plants vs zombies are great on the ipad

Copilot USA is at the stupidly low price of £2.99, for anyone that drives in the US.

Dragon dictation is good business tool for a free on both the Ipad and Ipod. Its a little imprecise however it can be a good way of generating notes in meetings etc without the intrusion.

Like the new BBCNews app. Good lay out.

Waitrose app us very good. Apart from recepies it's got some useful tools such as working out cooking times for meat, wine selector etc.

Adlerhorst 01-08-2010 11:18 AM

Recently purchased apps I like.

Sports illustrated.
Monkey Island 2

I agree, I'm liking it.

On the flip side I thought I'd give iBooks a proper go. It is awful. Absolutely god-awful. For some reason most of each page is dedicated to having massive margins, meaning to have to turn the page every two seconds.

Might work on a iPad, but total shit on an iPhone.

I'll be sticking with Stanza

Cat physics - plus it is free

BulletEagle 07-08-2010 10:31 AM

Anyone else having problems with the Met Office app? It never loads for me.

CPFC Cheerleader Observer 07-08-2010 10:32 AM

I find its intermittent too BulletEagle. Accuweather app for me is better

ed_glenn 07-08-2010 10:39 AM

Coin dozer is good fun. My girlfriend refuses to give my phone back when she plays that!!

On another note moneysupermarket is great for discount vouchers and red laser is top notch too.

Heb 7:4 09-08-2010 04:51 PM

I like the Huffington Post app. Better than accessing the website through safari

Ive only played with Free apps so far for weather.

Is Weather Pro worth paying the £2.39 for then?

Swanny32 10-08-2010 07:08 PM

Does any of the weather apps display inshore wind speeds as well? Would be good to know for the odd fishing trips we go on.
