Pretty much everything sold from the US is $20+ postage.

Bring on the Hong Kong sellers in about a weeks time, $6 postage standard and often sell in bundles.

I wish John and Dorking the best of luck in obtaining the cards you want. To me, is it worth the effort?

It's like modern day stamp collecting. Nothing produced now is truly rare, but some collectors still want to have everything new, to keep their collection ' complete' (or at least complete against their own personal criteria)

All collecting is in some way pointless. Sometimes the sum of the parts is still satisfying, even if some of the parts are less desirable than others

When Palace go up to the top flight, the breadth of collections available is on a vastly different scale to that in the 2nd tier(bordering on nothing these days).I take the view it's only for one season, and collect all that I can. Successive top flight seasons is a huge bonus. This 7 (now 8) season run is unprecedented. I never take it for granted and savour everything - when it comes to an end it could be for many years again.

Sometimes the difficulty in getting it all makes you appreciate the hard to get items a bit more too

Chronicles isn't too bad when you break it down - basically it is 10 base cards (the Donruss ones), and the 'shiny' red versions are as easy to find as the plain base versions; and a 6 'specials' which are like inserts.

The only ones I haven't even seen are the Benteke auto and the two jersey cards, but I'm in no great rush. The majority online are US based, so postage is the only real issue, but there's no need to worry, and in time they will become very easy once the Australian and far east sellers get into it

Had a good haul short while back from a US seller, postage was only $14, managed to get a few base, 6x red, couple blues & green and 3x gold, Cahill prizm base,

The Benteke Titan cards are expensive on the couple i've seen, The Benteke Signature card is a platinum 1/1 as far as i know ?

Regarding the Jersey cards, Thats a new one on me , looked at the list and didn't see his name on a jersey issue

Benteke auto - yes I think you are right - checklist suggests it's a 1/1 (will forget that then!!)

Jersey cards - aka 'Treble threads' - definitely Benteke and Hennessey, standard checklist and checklist by club list both:

11. Wayne Hennessey (Crystal Palace)

It's a nice card, don't get me wrong, but it's not a jersey or an auto, nor a 1/1, and he doesn't play for Liverpool anymore!!

I can't see the point of paying much more than a tenner for a regular color blast, if that means a gap in my collection so be it.
