Send a card to someone in Australia yes I can see the point, that was the point in the first place. But to write out a small crap card from me to you to someone you don't give a shit about. I hate Christmas cards which are over-familar, because the sender wants to convey meaning and sincerity.

It gives me the creeps. Christmas card giving is a numbers game, in the same way that christmas presents are measured by volume; quality or meaning shouldn't really come into it.
