But weighing that up against anything happening to the phone and I think I have to get it. What does a new 32gb 3GS go for? Over £500 anyway. I'd never be able to fork out for that

You will be buying a case next

I have just checked - mine is covered under my normal household contents insurance against loss and accidental damage. I would suggest that others do the same before forking out on an expensive specific policy.

Heb 7:4 30-07-2009 12:51 PM

I checked. It wasn't :(

Surely upgrading your home contents policy will be better than taking out separate insurance for just a phone?

Not my policy, so not an issue.

Browse the BBS, and marvel how looking at the internet on a phone can actually be an enjoyable experience

Go to the app store (it's on the front page) and download some apps (look at the apps thread, or just try google earth for the oooooooooh factor)

Piss about with it marvelling at how great it is :)

Like I've said, it's worth checking your bank account. Both mine (Lloyds) and Lizzy's (Halifax) both include mobile phone insurance as standard, assuming you have one of the paid for accounts. I think I pay about £12 a month and that gives me a free £100 overdraft, the phone insurance, AA breakdown cover, travel insurance and loads of other goodies.

I'd let it run down before charging it up. That's what the guy in the apple store told me to do anyway.

eaglejez 31-07-2009 11:43 AM

Sitting in pub watching the cricket. Mine got a bit of a charge when I synced it but I'm gonna take Heb's advice and let it run down. Yippee Pontins out

Yes, you 'pinch' the screen to zoom out in and do the opposite to zoom in. Place your finger and thumb somewhere in the middle of the screen then move them apart to zoom in.

Dave 31-07-2009 02:23 PM

pressing the numbers dials people

I hope you've asked for a new joke book for Christmas.
