I'm looking for an RCA component AV cable that will work with Iphone 3G, IPod Classic and Ipod Touch but it also needs to be compatible with OS3.0. Al the ones I've seen don't seem to support OS3.0. Any ideas where I can get one from ?

my Iphone I got last thurs seemed to be fine but now it sucks ! I was on the train and bus this morning and despite the fact that it said there was a full signal and 3G I couldn't send email or get onto the internet (it kept offering me local WiFi which I rejected since I was happy to go over the supposed full 3G signal). It seems to get a connection now but surfing the BBS is really slow. I fiddled with a few of the settings yesterday to save battery but they shouldn't be any reason for it (eg turn off maps etc).

I have to say I'm not that impressed so far. Hoping it is a blip otherwise I've wasted a fortune :( :(

Maybe this just the speed when you are not on wifi. Much slower but maybe I should stop moaning !

It's always shite on trains. I'm currently sitting in cafe Nero with a great wifi connection. Makes a nice change

O2 out of stock of the 3gS at the moment. The gayers offered me an "upgrade" the older model which i politely declined.

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but found out yesterday that the iPhone will be available on Orange from October - the chap in the shop thinks it will be the new one too. Also said Vodaphone might stock them and T-mobile very possibly. Reckons the prices and tariffs will start to tumble before Xmas.

Might be worth holding off for a few months.

If true, I'm going back to Vodafone as soon as I can.

Hope it's true.

Some help please.......after much thought and having cancelled my Orange contract due to call charge increase I have decided to buy an iphone. Well I say buy I was going to go for the 3G 8mb as the phone is free and that should be plenty of space for my usage.

Tariff is £34.26 per month with 600 mins and 500 txts but the insurance is £10.00pm. Is there anywhere else I could get insurance from? I have seen a few companies when I googled it but always a bit wary of these.

Any advice would be great.

:p

Have you checked on your house insurance?

Mine is covered. I phoned them up and found out amy personal possessions up to £2500 are covered.

James 05-08-2009 06:07 PM

Yes - I advised a few pages ago to check on your household insurance. Many people are covered without realising it

One thing you do need to check as well however is your excess. There is little point in having a £400 phone covered, with a £500 excess!

gsaunders22 06-08-2009 11:01 AM

Called insurance this morning and I am covered.

Had to add on accidental damage within the home (already covered outside the home) for my contents as this was not previously on there...an extra £7.00pm!....oh well cheaper than o2 insurance and covers all contents and what with a 2 year old and one on the way it is probably a good idea!

Makes monthly premium for building and contents £37.00pm! Is this high? I get the impression it is! Renewal is January so may look to change it then.

If you damage it in the house just take it outside and drop it and say it happened outside!!!
