Does it work on T Mobile as T mobile phoned up today offering me the 3GS with free web n walk? I gather you just need to unlock the phone so it takes any sims, are there any down sides?:afro:

Yes - you should be able to. Did you ever 'back up' the phone?

When I got my new one I just opened iTunes, right clicked on the phone icon and 'restored from backup'. I got everything back.

Great, had so many problems with my computer i havent back it up for a while.
If i register the new iphone on my old pc and then back it up.
when i get my new PC and load up itunes will i lose everything??

It's getting complicated.

Is anyone running 3.0 os on a 2g iPhone?

If so are there any issues with it?

I saw a brief comment a couple of weeks ago that suggested the 2g was not overly comfortable with 3.0 but can't seem to find much to support this.

I am. Not many problems but weirdly, it seems to go haywire for an hour or two after patching before settling down again.

Have phone again and have now got the Iphone 3g 16gb....yay.

Just got my iphone through....how long should i charge it for before using? (it is a refurbished one)

Just charge it till it says it is full fella, before you get using it though you'll need to sink it with your Itunes at home.
