It will get better, but not significantly. The question really is whether Orange's supposedly supreme 3G network is all its cracked up to be. I will be getting an iPhone once the new suppliers come in, but would prefer O2 as most of my mates are on it. But if Orange's network really is that much better, that would be the clincher because the iPhone is so net-dependent. Interesting times.

Orange is OK, voda is the daddy.

pixels die, batter life shortens but most of all general wear and tear.

Unless of course you have a case, the modern day equivalent of keeping the plastic covers on a new sofa

PalaceMonkey 29-09-2009 05:41 PM

I can't remember when mine was born.

although...

I'm fairly sure I had it at V2008, so that's at least 13 months so far.

Aren't they the opposite? With the Femtocell we can extend 3G coverage to entire buildings that were previously faraday cages, fantastic for us for extending network telephony where signal strength is zero and we have a data backbone.

Agreed, they have run this very nicely indeed.

My iphone keeps swiching itself off. Done it about 5 times today. I have a black screen and have to reset it everytime.

I feel another trip to Westlife coming on.

I just ordered some, will comment when I receive

Have you (or Dave) received these yet? Are they any good? I quite fancy some bluetooth headphones.

eddieskyclad 29-09-2009 08:37 PM

I've had mine 14 months and it seems fine... though at some point I seem to have lost the sound on/off switch. Not sure where or when and I always have it on silent so it's never an issue (especially as the alarm and ipod work just fine).

Quite pleased about the other networks joining the party as it gives you a few more choices and I'm sure the new networks will want to steal some of the existing iPhone contract holders which should make things fairer...

My ipod touch has done this a bit recently.

It also froze in the turning itself off bit for about 12 hours two weeks ago.

Have you updated to 3.1? Since doing so, mine has been a complete bitch, keeps crashing and everything. So wish I hadn't done so, as now I can't jailbreak.
