If you had read the article, you would know.

Which illustrates beautifully the shallow thinking of many Brits towards immigration and immigrants; everyone has an opinion but can’t be bothered to deal with the details.

Maz 30-03-2023 07:40 AM

And that annoys me.

That was said tongue in cheek and it is clear you have not been there for some time

Everything annoys you. Wonder why the life expectancy of those on the streets is so high yet government after government does so little to help them? Perhaps because they cannot vote?

They can vote if they wish. Me, I wish you cared about facts.

In that case you haven't read it fully.

My wife and I got chatting to a nice British lady walking her dog in the park today. After a few minutes she revealed she was from……a seaside town south of Haywards Heath. Oh well, another good walk spoiled.

I've seen that the part of Croydon in question is Farthing Downs. How could that annoy anyone?

Old Coulsdon is in Croydon now ?

It's only taken them 41 years to smarten the place up since we left there. We weren't that bad.

Having to pay around 40 quid as a bribe to have my car pass the MOT emissions test.

(first a local garage and next a full up KIA dealership/service centre both tested the emissions and found nothing wrong. Take the car to the MOT centre and surprise surprise (not!) it fails.)

Not really annoying, more a head-scratcher, but a high percentage of people I meet here that are from England are from Nottingham!

Strikes me as there can't be many people left there, as they are all over here!

I would suggest probably not.

That may be true, and I wasn't best impressed with the decline in Croydon that I saw 8 years back.

However, your post was a cliched cheap dig, and it totally ignored that the news was a positive thing for a borough that could probably do with more good news like this.

Ya know, if we want to discuss clarity.

Correction.

He has chosen not to understand it.

OR

worse

He is suggesting that all these migrants should have stayed exactly where they were in the first place. But he wants someone else to actually say that.

You’re probably right. But I still think that he should read it properly and then he would find the answer to his question.
