whats the best deal at the moment?

three offering 30quid a month with 500 mins unltd txt 1gb data £99 upfront
02 only offered £139 and £35 a month as an upgrade with 500mb data!
orange and t-mobile dont seem competitive
vodaphone doing £80 cashback on quidco

Remember to check out the data caps. The O2 might be capped at 500mb for 3G, but is unlimited for wifi. Whereas some of the others inc. vodafone have a 1Gb cap on wifi. This would kill me for my data use - I am reliant on having the unlimited wifi.

Why would they cap you on wifi? Didn't think any of them would do that as using wifi doesn't affect their network in any way does it? Have never heard of any network capping wifi usage

Not sure, apart from further revenue for top-ups... Anyway, thats why I didn't go with Vodafone in the end - can't be having that. Check out the terms....

No, its the 3G cap that starts from then. O2 is definitely uncapped on wifi. Unlike the others (some of).

When providers mention unlimited wifi, it usually means with services such as the cloud etc, not home wifis

It's not for your personal wi-fi usage, it's for data use through their affiliated public wi-fi hotspots.
