I have to say apart from a few things, minimising & flash being two, I also really like the iphone.

That's like saying apart from my car catching fire and killing my family on the motorway it's a great little runner

That is not to say i've not had my issues and problems, but nothing is perfect in life!

Yup I was fuming, really fuming, when I found that the internet radio I bought didn't allow me to play Angry Birds or display Google Maps. Likewise I had a similar problem with my remote web camera which refuses to play any music whatsoever. :)

Hi all, a work colleague of mine from Czech has asked me about buying a SIM free iPhone 4 in the UK for him from the Apple store as it is a) cheaper and b) you can't buy SIM free in Czech.........anyone do this and checked it all works and there isn't some hidden tie in to a UK network home address only? Wouldn't like to buy him a brick!

Bear in mind the sim cards are micro sims so it's not a case of him just putting his current one in the iPhone4

Also you might find it cheaper to get one from gumtree.com, guy at work got his for £350 still boxed and pristine with the film on the screen etc

True - will get him to double check that, but I suppose the key is whether it has to be first activated in the UK?

Turn off Data roaming and only access the internet and BBS whilst connected to a WIFI network :p

If you do need to access news / sport on line while you're away then BBC mobile uses up comparatively little of your data allowance, livescore.com uses up a lot!!
