I do find the iPhone works much better if it's regularly synced with iTunes.

Dave 20-11-2010 08:06 PM

I remember when I used to have a phone that needed syncing.

Funny how technology moves on

CPFC Cheerleader Observer 20-11-2010 08:07 PM

Technology does indeed make me laugh

Iphone contract up very soon so upgrade avaliable.

Shall I iPhone4, Windows 7, Android?

What are the pros and cons of each?

Heb 7:4 21-11-2010 09:33 PM

Bloody screen cracked. Anyone know a good repair place?

Dave 21-11-2010 09:50 PM

Apple store did mine, it was the result of being dropped and the display broke as well as the glass, they charged 79 and did it while I wait at the Covent Garden store.

iOS 4.2 launched today, not sure that it adds as much to the phone as it does to the iPad (which was still running iOS3).

Was looking forward to AirPrint but, at least with this release of the OS, it only works with the 7 models of HP's eprinter. And that's it.

Cheers Apple.

:D

Yeah, technology nowadays huh. It's amazing how these little handheld devices don't need syncing manually. Can be adapted and personalised as much as you like. Aren't locked into a service which restricts what they can and can't do with your device. You can even watch videos on, say, the BBC website on them! Mental!

What's that you say? You still can't do this with iPhones? Yikes

CPFC Cheerleader Observer 24-11-2010 11:37 PM

Havent got round to installing 4.2 yet.
Any feedback from those that have?

Scrumpy 25-11-2010 12:57 PM

I installed 4.2 on my 3GS. Didnt have the extra 17 text tones talked about (iPhone 4 only?) but can now set individual tones to people. Don't notice anything drastically different to be honest

Might update mine at the weekend when i have the time to do it as ive heard it takes a while to download and install

I didn't have to do all that.

I connected my phone to my laptop loaded with the Samsung Kies software, I downloaded the entire new Android operating system to my phone. And nothing went wrong. As I said here:

Dave had to do that because he'd modified his phone so much. MODIFIED.

How much can you modify an iPhone?

So, nice try. But.. FAIL

Heb 7:4 25-11-2010 10:50 PM

I've modified my iPhone loads?

I think Dave's modded and rooted his to the max

Not his iPhone. His android phone

He's like a boy racer

Heb 7:4 25-11-2010 11:13 PM

I'd happily get an android next. Depends what looks best when my current contract runs out.

I find the whole iPhone v android fanboy arguments a bit tedious to be honest.

Blind_Eagle 26-11-2010 08:31 AM

I find it funny Heb. :D
