No

Ralph 28-09-2009 08:43 PM

Is that in answer to all my questions?? I only ask as my boss is offering me the iPod Touch as a bonus but I am intending on getting an iphone soon anyway. Should I bother Dave if I cant get the iphone for another 4/5 months??

Dave 28-09-2009 09:28 PM

There is no camera on ipod touch.

I would get an Iphone on Orange if I was happy to get an 18 month contract

Brett 28-09-2009 10:31 PM

After over 30 e-mail exchanges, I'm still no closer to O2 explaining why customers upgrading from 2G to 3GS are not entitled to the same subsidy as those who went 2G to 3G.

They don't even say mind your own business or we can't answer that, they just write a load of nonsense totally unrelated to the initial question.

Iphone to vodafone, Dave will be happy :)

Dave 29-09-2009 09:01 AM

Linky?

Dave 29-09-2009 09:04 AM

Interesting, so that is basically everyone.

Okay so I guess we will get some limited price competition across the networks, but don't see there is scope for that much.

Interesting though, what does this mean for the other iPhone like units? Nothing good I would guess.

Dave 29-09-2009 09:20 AM

It's very bad news for palm (pre to be launched soon on 02) and the networks carrying the Nokia great hope n900.

Great news for apple though

Brett 29-09-2009 09:26 AM

Judging on past cartel moves by the operators, we may see price drops but in line with the intorduction of 30 or even 36 month contracts which have been appearing elsewhere in the world.

Let's hope people wise up and tell the operators where to stick it. 12 months is more than enough.

Great news on Vodafone, though. :)

Dave 29-09-2009 09:29 AM

Iphones barely last 12 months

Ridcully 29-09-2009 11:09 AM

Mines doing ok after 14

Ridcully 29-09-2009 12:00 PM

Now this and the iPhone are an awesome combination. Got one on trial at the moment and they are a sweet piece of kit.

Think I'd rather have mifi, then you can place the modem somewhere that gets a great signal

If loads of people go to vodafone & orange, presumably o2's data network will be under less prssure & work better?

Was wondering this as well, especially as my iPhone struggles to make a phone call at places like London Bridge these days on O2.

The O2 network has definitely got worse in the last few months.

Well I would have thought the impact wouldnt be too great. This announcement primarily impacts on new customers, and those who have been with O2/iPhone for years. Otherwise I wouldnt expect the network to improve that much as most people are locked into their contracts for at least 12 months longer, more in some cases.

It will get better, but not significantly. The question really is whether Orange's supposedly supreme 3G network is all its cracked up to be. I will be getting an iPhone once the new suppliers come in, but would prefer O2 as most of my mates are on it. But if Orange's network really is that much better, that would be the clincher because the iPhone is so net-dependent. Interesting times.

OK someone must be able to help with this -

The ipod on my iphone shuffles tracks permanently. I want to listen to an album in order

What have I done? How do I change it!?

Justy C 29-09-2009 04:24 PM

Think I might have had the same issue and not knowingly had "Shake to Shuffle" on.

Go to Settings - iPod - and turn off Shake to Shuffle

Very annoying when you don't know why its doing that!
