Mind Snacks language apps are very good for beginners.

Army of Darkness for a REALLY addicitve game. Defending a castle scenario. On level 43 no idea how many it has, give it a go.

Is anyone else using 'Find my iPhone'? I do appreciate the privacy concerns, but it really is a most remarkable application. I have been watching my Son's progress round his School's playing fields today on Google maps.

Quite incredible.

I use it for when I cannot remember where I have put my iPad in the flat.

That is all.

Indeed. As well as being able to track the iPhone on Google maps, you can request a mislaid iPhone/iPad to blast an ear-piercing sound to you from wherever it is hiding.

I wish my car keys had a similar function.

Great shout, what a simple but addictive game. Only started playing it from yesterday and already on Lvl21 .... and that's just on the train journeys to and from work :p

All E.A. Games (including such gems as Scrabble, Risk and Monopoly) appear to have been reduced to 59p today. I have all three on the iPad and they are well worth buying (especially at that price).

Akinator is a good app. It's asks you to think of a character/someone famous. It then asks you a few simple questions to work it out! So far it has got obvious ones (Queen Elizabeth, Angelina Jolie) and obscure ones (Kayla The Eagle, Neil Danns).

I'm yet to catch it out

If I saw you on the street....

Ahem, anyway; if I download something to my iPhone and then sync my phone, will the app get sent to iTunes to be available for syncing to my iPad? Or should I download it to iTunes and then sync each?

hong_kong_hg 01-07-2011 03:58 PM

Yes as long as you're using the same apple id on both devices.

Fantastic app. It guessed Darren ambrose, Spock, Harrison ford, and chewbacca, but I caught him out with Dean Moxey. However now I've added him to their database so he'll know now. Lol.
