Goodwillie had been convicted previously so the case wasn't live as such when he played though.

Goodwillie has never been convicted.

Fantastic Adlers..

Lots of others like SHERLOCK and CABAL as related examples. SOS is a good one as well as something created from the letters. Chicken and Egg.

Oh, I thought he had. If Bissouma is charged, with the court backlog I'm guessing it would be his season over.

chatham_eagle 07-10-2021 02:03 PM

Was Goodwillie a civil case?

There's also Not Of Normal Criminal Element or Enterprise, but assume that's' a backronym too.

Not criminally. After he left Palace he was forced to pay £100k compensation in a civil case. But when he was signed everyone knew or should have known he did it. Either they didn’t do the DD or they did they DD and thought “**** it”

With regard the Brighton player, if he is charged you would imagine his season is over. But they played Dunk so who knows

Terrace Bickle 07-10-2021 02:05 PM

OK thanks, just thought better remove Bissouma from my FF team.

Looking at this purely from the football perspective. He won't be allowed to play for the foreseeable will he. Will probably scupper any big money moves in January. If convicted could he become a worthless asset.

I would not bank on that football has no morals. Even if it means going abroad

I would imagine bail conditions would stop an overseas transfer. If he’s convicted he’s going down for a number of years.

I thought that they might be forced to flog him abroad for a lower fee. In any shape or form it's very bad for the #goodguys in a footballing sense.

As funny, as their asset will in all likely be sacked for gross misconduct, and not make the money they deserve. It is slightly worrying that three Prem footballers have been arrested with good reason - different breed. No longer normal people, but pampered pr!cks showered with adulation and money before they have really earnt it. Take a look at the focus on U23's, etc. And kids with agents. Sorry state of affairs.

None of that is an excuse, btw.Just a general whinge. There are plenty of good footballers too. :)

If he is guilty, they will have a thread about how useless he was anyway, and they never needed him.

It depends on the severity of what he has done, which as far as I know is not known publicly?
