Apparently i'm now a O2 Gold Customer i can upgrade to the new Iphone 3 months early so looks like new Iphone start of January :D

Why me, ffs? Called o2 to ask about the upgrade as I have a first-gen and was told I have to wait until expiration of my contract to upgrade, whereas others are being offered the upgrade between 3 and 6 months prior to expiration, even if they moved to 3G.

They tried getting me to go with the 3G and when I said no, I was told I should have upgraded to it before and I wouldn't be in this boat.

They truly are a bunch of hoons at o2. Biggest ******* hoons on the block.

is youtube free on an iphone?

if i'm out of range of any wifi hotspots or the cloud (say at home), how will an iphone connect to the internet? will it still be free?

Yep youtube is just like any data, all free on iPhone plans. When away from WiFi the iPhone will connect via GPRS, EDGE or 3G depending on where you are and what signal is available

Shit all 3G at Wembley last night either.

I wonder if the camera will be much better. I guess it is a 50% improvement in megapixels but why they couldn't have got a 5mp camera in there I don't know.

I'll be holding off updating straight onto the new OS anyway - I'm pretty sure that once o2 remove their draconian block on sending picture messages via the iphone tariff, I'll be happy enough with Swirly MMS and won't really need to upgrade.

my iphone refused to work this morning until I plugged it into itunes.
just had an icon on itunes on the screen and I could only make 999 calls.

It didn't download anything or sync, but started working the instant itunes loaded.

How fast is the internet on an iPhone? Do pages load fairly instantly or do they take a while?
