Got a deal when I upgraded from 2G to 3G :)

My Jesus Phone arrived today. I went into work at about 3pm and then someone remembered to tell me it had arrived as I was leaving at 6pm.

Got it charging for a couple of hours until James goes to bed, then I shall set it all up :)

Putting the Sim in is fiddly innit!

I want one of these but my current contract doesn't expire until October (am on an 18 month one). Have to wait till then. Gay.

I managed to convince my fiance to give me permisson to get a Jesus phone. :lux: (I needed permission as we're planning a wedding and don't want too much extra outlay...)

Now it's just a matter of saving for the security deposit ($150) and getting one.

I convinced O2 to give me one for free today. Just upgrading my tariff to £35 a month.

Issues with the Exchange Server at work more than anything else. Also trying to set up Outlook over RPC. Bastard thing has been driving me mad all day. It works, thenit goes spazzy.

iPhone is cool. It didn't sync my music to start with. Had to set it to manual syncing then unchecked it again, and off it went.

Itunes has also tried and failed to download the new firmware about 5 times. I think I'm having some wireless issues tonight.

Were/are you still on an existing contract with them? Only that I pay £25.50 p/month + £7.50 insurance but am pondering whether to try and convince them to up my existing contract for the next 8 months with them to an iphone contract, then continue on for as long as an iphone contract would demand, in order to get one now....

They upgraded me about 6 weeks early but I gave them a sob story saying work were putting me under pressure to get me to take the PDA they were offering on t-mobile

I was also paying between £50-£60 monthly. It's your monthly spend that's important here. I don't fancy your chances to be honest.

Not even if I pay the extra £8.69 on my current contract (which would take me up to the deal I want with 02 online + £7.50 insurance) for the 8 remainding months then agree to be bound into a further 18 months at that price? I'll even pay the £99 for the handset.

I dunno. Just ask them what you have to do to get one now!

Or sit tight until nearer the end of your contract, there will be almost certainly be a new iPhone out early summer (see link below where one of Apple's senior directors mentions the company's timelines for new product releases). .

There have also been reports of iphone 2.1 being detected in use in the south SF Bay area, there is plenty of speculation that this is 'evidence' of the new model being tested in the wild
