ah balls - just read that there are strong rumours of a new version with a new cpu and they will allow apps to be run in the background

Imagine my delight when my seven year old handed be back my iphone with a totally white screen! after 10 mins of panic, and no response from home or sleep keys. Quick search on google and remedied by holding both keys down for 10 seconds, and then it performed a slow restart, nothing lost thankfully.

Is there a way to setup a shortcut or download an app to have a button on your desktop to turn bluetooth on or off quickly?

No way of sending contact details by sms = bummer.

Meh - I don't really want to go down that road. A quick Google search suggests I'm not the only person to want this feature. Bluetooth really drains the battery on the iphone and I only need it when I'm in the car. Will just have to get into the habit of going through the menus when I get in and out of the car.
Really surprised you can't setup shortcuts. |

It's not so much the journeys in the car that are the problem. It's the having bluetooth on when it's not needed causing general drain throughout the day.

Turning off location services when you aren't using them ditto wifi will also help.
