With regard to potential 'brickings', if you're jailbreaking your phone but are still on the o2 contract then I don't think there's any problem at all.

If, however, you have an iphone that has been previously cracked to allow it to use a non-o2 sim then you need to be a little bit more careful. The updates may overwrite the baseband part of the phone which is the software that handles all the phone calls, SMS etc. You either need to install a new image that doesn't overwrite the baseband or you need one which has the cracked baseband as part of the update. Sorry if that's too technical and it probably doesn't apply to most of you anyway, but I had a day or 2 of grief from this issue so if I can spare anyone else these problems then I will.

Any good recommendations for multi-function headphones? Although the ones that came with it sound fine to me. And I can't get on with those bud headphones.

You got them to deliver it to home? Epic Fail.

I got them to deliver to work and the delivery man fault through the snow last Monday to deliver it whilst I built snow men in the garden.

Mellers told me about pressing it once to pause, but skipping is grand :p

Next you'll be saying you don't know pressing it 3 times goes back a track?!

I spent about £30 on some decent Sony bud earphones for my last phone and couldn't use them because they kept falling out my ears and driving me mad.

Its really annoying when you have weird ears

Kevin T 14-02-2009 11:41 AM

Does anyone else instinctively hit the Home button to end a call rather than the End Call touch screen button, thus leaving you connected and leaving long messages.

Dave 14-02-2009 03:35 PM

nope, you will learn to shake and press then you will start shaking and pressing other phones

As I work in a data-centre you need to get a delivery code from the NOC for any delivery that is not standard mail to be accepted. It's a reet PITA.

What's Hidepod?

jolly 14-02-2009 05:49 PM

Hidepod allows you to hide applications behind the calculator like sms messages videos or pictures and specific contacts for example if you have a very jealous partner and they dont like you having friends they dont know
