Any recommendations for the best Twitter app?

DaveCPFC4Life 04-02-2010 05:52 PM

Having now got home and read the thread it appears to be Echofon

CPFC Cheerleader Observer 04-02-2010 05:56 PM

For what its worth, i use Echofon and have no probs with it.

For all those with an iPhone 3g there's an app called ivideocamera that will allow you take video save it to camera roll or publish it!!! :p

It's not the best video on the world but it's video!

Blind_Eagle 12-02-2010 06:58 PM

Sky sports app now works over 3G. Works brilliantly too.

Very happy with this app now. :)

CPFC Cheerleader Observer 13-02-2010 08:57 AM

I like the fact that the updated Sky Sports Football Centre App allows you to add your favourite team to the home page (Obviously Palace got added).

BulletEagle 13-02-2010 09:46 PM

Love the new update, Sky really need to stop charging for everything though.

For those with ears to hear (at that time in the morning) look out for a feature 'Apps of the Appostles' on tomorrow's (14 Feb) BBC Radio 4 Sunday programme (7.10am) during which I demonstrate quirky religious iphone apps with presenter William Crawley.

Completely by chance I caught a bit of this on the way to golf. You sounded like a broadcasting pro.

Well it failed to work this morning as I seemed to have been in a deep sleep for most of the night, so I woke up from a deep sleep feeling crap.

It did work yesterday morning though, my alarm was set for 6 and it woke me up at 5.43 and I felt fine :)

Whether it is a load of shit, probably but it is interesting and for 59p worth a go.

Does anyone have any idea as to when the Dragon Dictation app will be heading to the UK, been waiting for nearly 4 months now.

Icy 03-03-2010 04:11 PM

Kickswerve s addictive as **** and not bad for a freebie.

Worms killed a bit of time on the way back from Brum too although i had to pay for that.

Adlerhorst 17-03-2010 08:06 PM

Quite enjoying angry birds.

You catapult birds at pigs.

Heb 7:4 17-03-2010 09:06 PM

Yes, I'm rather enjoying that too.

On a practical note, I am using HoursTracker a lot to keep track of when I have worked on different projects, so I can do my timesheets accurately. Very handy.

Adlerhorst 17-03-2010 09:09 PM

I wrote a macro for that.

Alternatively I am trying to fill my timesheets in as I go along rather than waiting until the end of the two week period and then making an accurate guess.

Heb 7:4 17-03-2010 09:20 PM

I always mean to do them as I go, but I simply don't remember!

You just tap in, tap out with this app, can can email yourself the data at the end of the month. If you put in your hourly rate for each job it'll tell you how much you've earned too, but I don't use that feature.

ollie_porter 18-03-2010 01:08 PM

Angry Birds is great but I'm stuck on one level (2-15); seems to be rather impossible...

Hehe... I've completed this - its a fantastic game...

2-15: There are two shafts down each side - send a bomb egg down the near side of the last one - your aim is to knock bits into the TNT which will take out the pig stuck up in the middle. Normal bombing will take out the rest.

Hope that helps.

I love this game, managed to finish it yesterday. I find the trick to some of the tougher levels is to try the same thing over and over again until a random piece of scenery falls down and a chain reaction takes the buggers out :D

Now attempting to get three stars on all the levels, I may be some time as I don't think my "fluke it" technique will cut the mustard...

Conger 19-03-2010 01:28 PM

You can also do this level easily by taking out the middle bird with two well-placed bombs, and then one bomb down each shaft to take out the ones at the bottom. Should leave a bird spare to mop up stragglers....

Blind_Eagle 19-03-2010 03:23 PM

my mate has this and swears by it!

Heb 7:4 20-03-2010 09:13 AM

The problem with any of the satnav's is GPS reception. I have the TomTom app, and it's good, except in some places (like Welling) you just have no reception.

And if there's one place you want directions to get out of as quickly as possible it's Welling

You can get the TomTom car holder, which increases GPS reception and works with any satnav app, but for the price of it you could get a stand alone satnav

Adlerhorst 22-03-2010 06:33 AM

I am on 4-something.

They don't get easier, though 3-21 was very easy.

Adlerhorst 22-03-2010 06:39 AM

3-6 is all about timing. You can make the first thing on whew topple into the second, and the second fall over and crush most of the small birds in one shot (rare though). Then it is just mopping up.

Send first one skyward, your aim is to hit the wooden post after the stone train. Then just slam one into the back of the first stone tower and enjoy the carnage.

you can pick up golden eggs by redoing the old levels.

i have got the beachball one

JamTheEagle 04-04-2010 09:51 PM

I know that one is on the sun on the scene select screen, another in the ? section in game, one if you zoom out on 5-19 too.

EagleinOz 04-04-2010 10:21 PM

During play pause the game and click on the question mark, then click thru to the end of the guide and there's another one

james powell 05-04-2010 10:19 PM

Don't know if it's been mentioned, but TV Plus or Sky+ (both free) are brilliant if you've forgotten to record anything and are out. Just need to sign up
at www.mysky.com (I think) and use your username and passoword for the settings section and you're ready to record straight from your mobile. :)

Here are some free apps and games i have been using:

Sunday Lawn: Mow grass, need to plan route to make shortest route to get most points.

TVCatch up: Not an app a short cut. watch tv on the go, 1min behind real time, even works on 3g

Chalkboard Stunts: Control a stunk car to do tricks to get to the end of the level. Basic graffics but so much fun.

Chopper lite: control a helicopter to save people before time runs out.

Doodle Kart Lite: Like micro machines game

Rayman: The classic game is free at the mo

Toilet Finder: Does as it says

Driver lite: Classic game on playstation.
