I think he played left back for that game though didn't he?

I'd like him with a £25m transfer option agreed. Would play him right back until Nathan Ferguson is ready and then pop him into right midfield. Then centre mid next season under the new manager.

not the best passer, he'll be at home here :hmph:

cpfcfan1 29-01-2021 12:05 PM

Going to Westbrom.

I would classify him more as a solid rather than "exciting" player (like Gray) which is probably more in keeping with our style and an ideal rplacement for Townsend. Would i like him at the Palace? yes, but it would need to be initially a loan until seasons end with an agreement to buy in the summer and at a sensible fee of say 15m.

You donít get a 23 year old, England international, who has plenty of contract to run for £15m.

Exactly sorted of player we need. Young, high quality midfielder that can play most positions.

High quality?

Never seen anything that suggests heís anything more than average

True, Martin Kelly was only £2m and was a similar age when he signed.;)

Good. We can have him when they are relegated.

I agree, but he has pace. And anything better than 'poor' is an improvement on what we've got, so average will do me ;)

only leading the chase atm, nothing confirmed, unless I have missed that

PalaceRichard 29-01-2021 01:42 PM

The more I think about it the better this appears. Someone who wants to play central, young, mobile, can pass and can easily play right midfield and at a push cover right back if really needed.

Loan would be great, maybe with option to buy, which unfortunately would come at a price as several have mentioned above.

Mr Palace 29-01-2021 01:50 PM

He'd be great for us.
