You sure? this looks like the 79-80 season, the Whitehorse is still two tiers.

Wrong season
It was our first year back up, 79-80.

Billy Rhino 27-02-2021 10:54 AM

Hilaire is the stand out player

Yep my bad.

BERT'S HEAD 27-02-2021 10:58 AM

I thought this was our 2-3 defeat by Man City but that was 12 months later.

Also, it appears you couldn't say Joe corrigans name without the prefix 'big'...

Its amazing how we went from looking a decent top division team to a complete shambles in 1 year. Bloye destroyed the club.

No diving, no screaming like a bitch from the slightest touch....great days!

Really noticeable how early Vince got the ball into the box. He was so silky.

He could cross the ball well with both feet, Wilf could learn a lot from watching him.

Hmmm, Bennett definitely "simulated" there

'different game' nowadays but very good point.
Benteke would've loved those.

Haha yes, trust them to focus on that [emoji16]

Brilliant watching Burridge again, such a good keeper.

Was a bonus that Flanagan and Francis were out injured - played better with the promotion winning side. Difficult to believe what happened the next season.

Was Ian Smith, PM of racist Rhodesia really Ray Bloye's guest of honour? I do not remember that at all.

Sleeping Giant 27-02-2021 02:37 PM

I had no recollection at all of Barry Silkman having made it to top flight football albeit via Big Mal.
