Which I have to say, if true, is outrageous when comparing exchange rates £/$

Dave 08-06-2009 10:25 PM

275 squids is a bit OTT especially on 02's network

Scandalous pricing.

I can see the Palm Pre walking out of the door based on that. There's a recession on ffs.

Now wondering about getting the 24month contract for a 32gb at £175.

How good is the next one after 3GS going to be, I wonder.

Capitalism stinks when it forces people into 2 year contracts.

Indeed, about £90 taking the piss.

Nice one O2. Pricks.

Rip-off Britain.

Anyone else now considering the Pre?

Brett 08-06-2009 10:52 PM

BTW - in the US, those prices would be for new users. Upgrades are an extra $200 so Lord only knows how far o2 are going to go with us.

You want upgrade? You pay out the months on your remaining contract apparently.

US customers also have to pay almost $100 per month on their contracts, which forces the iPhone out of my price range.

Talk of tethering being $70 per month too.

And upgrade costs will be more than that over here, Brett...

On top of the phone cost, I take it?

I'm glad I skipped the 3G because my upgrade fee would have been even more insane.

Also, Apple said they were making the iPhone cheaper on every level. Can anyone explain how £185 is cheaper than £155? Maybe I'm thick.

James Melody 08-06-2009 11:10 PM

Comedy pricing on this. I think I am going to see out my 18 month contract.

Ridcully 08-06-2009 11:46 PM

O2 tethering, 15 quid for 3GB 30 quid for 10GB that sucks, numpties. No one will use it at that price. O2 sucks arse. Nothing worth getting here. Gphone it looks like it is in jan.
