It does seem that 'football' has not played its part here. And it is odd when you considered they did a very good job indeed finishing off last season. Having the European competitions in a couple of venues and with one off knock out games.
Succinctly,finishing off the major leagues.

Now they seem to have decided to bin everything learnt from that experience. Maximising the number of games in a shorter time frame, removing winter breaks, getting the European teams to taravel, having the League format, dispensing with the extra substitutes rule.

In the restart format we didn't have many reported cases of virus infection. But with the copybook ripped up there are infections all over the place. You can understand why the government might not want to leave the 'safe' return of supporters in the hands of the clubs. They appear to have undone all the good work they did during the restart period.

It makes no sense.

Is it only in England where we have more than one Cup competition?
