Isn't it the current matchday 36 that might be moved to the last midweek? If so, then it would be our home match v Villa that would be allowed fans.

Round 36 (a midweek round of May 11/12) would move back to the weekend of May 15/16

Round 37 (a weekend round of May 15/16) then moves back to the last midweek so that fans can go

Round 36 still doesn't have fans, but it moves back just to ensure there are still fixtures over the penultimate weekend

Whisper it quietly, but I believe the government have indicated that ‘event pilots’ can take place from the 12th April so you’d think the EFL, Premier League, National League and the FA will all seek talks to see what could be achieved. There are hopes of holding some games with fans at Wembley ahead of 17 May (when 10k would be allowed) for example

With no travelling fans to worry about and the increased amount of negotiations needed between 4 potential channels although Sky and BT pick there's and then Amazon/BBC just pick the fodder left over.

Anyway, due to no fans etc. the channels are leaving it a lot later, throughout doing this thread this season I would say we have normally had 2 or 3 weeks notice to changes.

I would "expect" the next announcement to be early next week for the beginning of April fixtures. Then the rest of the April fixtures to follow at the beginning of the month.

Broadcasters want the most up-to-date League Tables possible to pick their matches.

The grand post has been updated to reflect the changes yesterday to the Everton and Chelsea games.

I would expect the remaining two fixtures for April to be changed in the week between the two Everton and Chelsea games given the timeframes that the TV companies have previously been working towards.

Southampton on the 17th April will have to be re-arranged regardless, if they win in the cup on Saturday, as that's the weekend for the semi-finals.

The easiest thing to do would be to push it to the Tuesday or Wednesday after the weekend the original tie would have been played. So, April 20th or 21st.

If you waited until May then you would effectively be playing (subject to TV coverage)

Saturday
(Potentially Midweek for Southampton)
Saturday
Wednesday
Saturday
Sunday

Or

Saturday
Saturday
Wednesday
Saturday
(Potentially Midweek for Southampton)
Sunday

It just doesn't give you any wiggle room if anything else was to go wrong with the schedule.

Not heard anything about may fixtures for a while. Leaving it really late. Normally announce "standard" TV games before later the "pandemic" bunch of games.

Only 2 weeks and everything is 3pm Saturday apparently.

Arsenal (H) will be the Tuesday/Wednesday rather than the penultimate Saturday of the season. No news on tickets yet though.

Lets be fair, we don't know who is going to be in the relegation battle, title race or the race for top 4 yet. It's not as if the league table is a good indicator or anything.

The Man City game will almost certainly be on the Saturday as they play in the Champions League on Wednesday 28th April and Tuesday 4th May.

Why is it taking so long to organise this one?
