My first game as a regular ticket holder was Crystal Palace v Blackburn Rovers, 26 October 1985 (W 2-0) Attendance 5,408. I think anyone there that day can come first!

"Supporters allowed at grassroots games in small numbers, providing social distancing is adhered to." :- "Supporters will also be allowed to attend community fixtures in small numbers provided they are in groups of two households only, or no larger than six people from different households, and adhere to social distancing measures"

Regarding Non-League Football :

The FA has emailed leagues saying they will issue club guidance as soon as possible once the DCMS has reviewed their submissions.

They (the FA) add a note of caution that “there are still some unique aspects to non-league that we need to get further approval for”.

All clubs will be required to produce a Covid-19 risk assessment and publish it on their website.

The deadline for publishing this will likely be end of July/early August.

Of course Non-League clubs (with a handful of exceptions) usually operate with attendances at a fraction of capacity, so as long as capacities are capped (and if necessary games are all ticket) then I can see non-league clubs playing friendlies in front of fans in August
Have it on good authority that a Conference South (or whatever it's called nowadays) club have been told it'll be 30% of capacity to begin with.

No idea if that'll translate into the same for league/prem games with much higher crowds/capacities but will make it an interesting thread on here once the club decide how to sort out tickets, with that criteria...

National League South. Yes, 30% was what the Fylde Chairman let slip and is what Dorking Wanderers are working towards. Minimum capacity in the NLS is 3000, so all clubs would have at least 1000. 1000 is enough for the majority of clubs at step 2 level. Bath have a much bigger capacity of course. Dulwich would be the biggest losers.

Confirmed as the 12th September start and will finish on 23 May.

That gives 37 weekends beginning to end. We lose 4 or 5 of them to International breaks I think so brings us down to about 32 weekends. So only 5 midweek games depending on what they do with FA Cup but that could put it up to 8 midweeks throughout the season.

Not as bad as it could have been, assuming Covid doesn't mean they have to stop playing at any point.

If i read it right, the season kicks off straight after an international break which could make life interesting.

Ok so can someone please explain as I just don't get it!: The Premier League could start next season without fans in stadiums, as TV revenue is huge, but every other league down can't start without fans it's not financially possible.

At least some fans must be let in asap or teams are going bust very quick!

All three divisons of the Football League are also starting that weekend.

I think the plan is to have fans at the Community Shield at the end of next month and if that goes well I think we will probably see fans at games from the beginning of the season as part of the pilots ahead of fans being back in October.

Palace fans are away fans too. That's half of all our games you don't want any Palace fans at.

With reduced capacity don't think clubs will want to pay more stewards then they need to.no away fans will keep these cost down personally think games without away fans loses something but think money will talk

It typically takes the fixture guy about 2 weeks to put them together from when the Championship play offs are finished

This is because of the complications of neighbouring clubs in different divisions - clubs who share the same stewards, police force etc.

It basically leaves us with 6 weeks to get our much needed transfer act together, but also other crucial issues to be resolved.
Firstly will there be any positive news on any New owners? Will the important Roy Hodgson stay? is Wilf Zaha staying, if not will we then get the sort of fee we expect to allow rebuilding with quality? can we move on the non performers and the "sick notes" players to ease on the wage outgoings?
All of these issues will be so relevant as to what direction we take this summer, but also in the knowledge that a big part of our playing squad's contract runs out nest summer and will need sorting out asap and not left to drag on.

If the early games aren't going to be played in front of 100% capacity (pretty likely I'd guess), then will the tv channels have free reign to televise every match and stagger the kick off times all over the place again, like it has been for the last 6 weeks?

Ipswich are already canvassing their season ticket holders to better inform them as to how they might best accomodate fans when reduced crowds are allowed again:

To view the link you have to Register or Login

"A significant number, though, will not be able to sit in their regular season ticket seats and will need to accommodated elsewhere in the stadium given no seats on stairwells will be in use and every other row left vacant"

"The club are also asking where in the stadium supporters would wish to sit, were they not able to sit in their regular seats."

"Strict social distancing measures will be in place, including a one way system to restrict face to face contact; avoidance of fans gathering in concourses; the possibility of staggered times of arrival to reduce queuing; a streamlined service of food and drink outlets and the use of hand-sanitiser stations on entry."

"any information we can get from season tickets holders about who they sit with at the stadium; are they family members; are they in their social bubble; where would they prefer to sit if not in their allocated seat will help us going forward as well as mode of transport to games."

Meanwhile a professor who is a government advisor, thinks that shouting and chanting at games could mean a more reduced capacity than say cricket or snooker crowds...

"At a football or a rugby match, the fans are going to be shouting and chanting and singing, I hope, and we need to be sure that the people in front of them are as safe as possible."

West Ham have started flogging season ticket renewals for next season.

They clearly must need the dosh because much of the detail seems sketchy and based on blind faith.

Palace can take as long as it needs IMO!!!

To view the link you have to Register or Login.

"renewing your Season Ticket will ensure you are the first back to see the Hammers in person, as well as guarantee your chance to attend the most games possible next season."

"In the event of matches with social distancing in place and a restricted number of supporters present, we will adopt an automatic ballot system."..."an automatic ballot system will ensure Season Ticket Holders can attend an equal number of matches"

"And if you are not selected in the ballot, you will be automatically refunded*. If you missed out in the previous ballot, you will be prioritised for an upcoming match."

*"we will automatically refund the pro-rata value of the match to the pay holder’s card or account within 30 days of the fixture taking place."
