And the Brentford game is going to be a walk in the park compared to Spurs. At least this week there's a PDF version of the ticket with a QR code that is easily sharable. The app ticket is not.

What happens if my phone battery dies while on the way to the match?

We recommend all supporters ensure they have sufficient phone battery before setting off for the match. If your phone does run out of battery, please visit the Box Office inside the Selhurst Park Club Shop.

Remember, you can print off your tickets in advance. Please use the fold lines as shown and keep the ticket dry.

Ahhhh cool thanks Mum.

Passing the phone around your group in order that you can all get in flies in the face of the whole point of going digital. It's f***ing crazy. If one of you isn't on time, you're screwed.

They haven't explained how we get Loyalty Points for purchases under this system, or have I missed something?

No printer, no phone? Then what (after Brentford game and assuming PDFs won't be issued every week)? And does everyone always know when they are going to be late? Train delays, accidents, incidents. You'd need Mystic Meg as one of your group!

I’ve heard the club are already considering going back to season ticket cards after the Brentford game.

Could well be some mileage in that. Imagine if someone tests positive after the match, thousands of us could have to isolate for ten days in theory.
Thousands won't have to isolate as the rules have changed to only isolate if you're showing symptoms.

Reminds me of the Fulham away game years ago. Someone, probably me, inadvertently threw our tickets in the bin. A frantic search in the morning, included emptying said bin onto garden and salvaging the by then soggy tickets. No problem i thought, they're in an envelope, I'll put a warm iron over them. Big mistake! The magnetic strip or whatever on them meant they turned black when heat was applied. You could barely make out anything other than the Fulham crest. Amazingly though, the bloke on the turnstiles let us in after giving me a look that said "what have you done to them? Are you f**king mad?" Moral of the story, never iron your tickets, or pdf print outs probably - though that might work.
