My main football interest for the rest of this season has switched to hoping Greed 12 clubs miss out on champions league spots.

Nice situation forming in Italy. If Lazio win their game in hand it’s not out of the question that both Juve and Milan could miss out.

Agree with that. Would love to see Sevilla win La Liga as well.

With competition as high as it is, there would be no way to being wages down, other than a depression in the games.
One simple and effective way to bring down wages is for clubs to refuse to pay at current levels. When a new contract comes up, instead of offering X, they offer X divided by two. Ultimately, in a competitive open market, it's down to supply and demand. If clubs in general refuse to pay the amount they are paying now, wages will come down.

Which will just reinforce their belief they need to fix the competition I think. So I hate to say it but..... be careful what you wish for - boom boom. May be better if they do qualify - funnier if they don't though.

Which can only happen in a football recession which is the point of my previous post. Clubs would never agree a self appointed salary cap due the competitiveness, wages match the market rate in any industry, you need the market rate to drop across the board and that requires a recession.

I think the average fans wouldn't mind it, providing clubs can stay afloat. Doible edge sword obviously.

Doesn’t really work when sovereign states and oil barons are propping up your major competitors...

The likes of Man City and Chelsea don’t really care if wages come down.

These clubs have played with fire and it has back fired. They hoped they could just pretend it didnt happen and get back to being a member of the Premier League. Their actions have awakened an angry faction of people, and general collective discontent for these clubs. They have escaped punishment but that will be their downfall as actually had there been, people would have felt some kind of justice over it and been able to move on but without it, it has created this backlash.

Yesterday was another loss for these clubs, the Man U protestors who got the match postponed have shown that fans do have a form of power. I hope it continues.

Well it’s over £18, could be asmuch as £20, and twenty is plenty.

I think the 14 should agree an MOU for no transfer dealings with the breakaway clubs for 3 seasons.

So we couldn't sign anyone from them? I don't see the rationale

Exactly right. Chelsea etc. wouldn't be able to send people on loan and would have to meet their liabilities in respect of players like RLC. Similarly, LFC couldn't bend over Sheffield Utd and Palace like they did with Brewster.

All 3 clubs going down this season have sucked the poison tit of the big 6. These 'mega' clubs think they are doing the rest a favour letting us pay massive loan fees for Remy, Bamford and Bats or transfer fees for Benteke and Sakho whilst plotting to do us up.

Sorry, no more. The 14 should institute a three year transfer boycott in and out of the other 6 clubs. Look for value elsewhere - let them manage the liabilities of their contracts with the likes of Bats.
