Polls like this (and the YouGov one) are what will force the MPs to act. Self rather than national interest but it’s always that way in politics really.

I sort of agree. But the "Johnson is a lying disastrous PM" seems to be pretty baked in and consistent.

What I really picked up on when the Gray report was published- and which I’d never really seen in a European democracy before - was that he was lying, everybody knew he was lying, and he and his team know that everybody knows it and yet still have the support of most of the media and enough of the voting public to be in with a good shot at winning again.
Can’t think of a leader in my lifetime (other than a dictator) who wouldn’t have been utterly sunk by that report. But it really is priced in, with Johnson.

Generally I wouldn’t wish ill on anyone, however in this case the individual is doing harm to millions. Not happy with that, he’s also tearing up the rules to make himself and his mates unaccountable. That’s not incompetent - it’s bloody dangerous. It’s not far off what Putin did to keep himself in power and that’s the direction Boris seems to be heading… |

Whether it is a policy/idea like Brexit, a political party, or a particular person like Johnson or Corbyn, once someone has said that they support it, they just refuse to back down no matter where it leads them. Brexit is a total disaster, yet people still maintain it isn't. Johnson is horrendous for the country, yet people maintain he isn't. Corbyn might not have been a total disaster for Labour, but unless you say he was the greatest thing since sliced bread, his supporters will call you a Nazi. Tribalism in football is quite funny really. In politics it is incredibly dangerous. |

Boris, is lying to everyone, abuses parliament which is the bedrock of our parliamentary democracy, refuses to apologise for anything, rewards and allows corruption by his loyal ministers.....it really is step by step movement to authoritarianism.
His abuse of parliament only encourages the public to make fun of experts and parliament, and he is shifting politics towards Trumpism....i am very worried about this stealth approach away from usual "standards" of accountability...even old skool conservatives publicly denounce himn for what he is and has become. Its like USA before Capitol riots, no one believed it would happen, but it did and some people warned against it..and the result is a heavily divided and polarised country. I would hate for that to happen in the UK. |

The only way that this country's leadership could get worse is if Rees Mogg or Patel took over. Other than that, Johnson going out in whateverwthe circumstances can only be a good thing in my eyes. |

Should really want him to stay as the Tories will be fecked in two years if he does. Just can't stand looking or listening to the moron. |

Tiverton is the key one, Tory seat since created, Liberal heavy odds on to take it , if they can put up big numbers there - 5000 plus majority then the letters of no confidence will pile up , Wakefield is a shoe in for Labour

This is also the case in Johnson's seat the next time it is contested. The shit is entirely unsuited to being anywhere near Parliament and whatever needs to be done to unseat him is in the public interest, whatever your political colours.
