If Gallagher is 10, Maitland Niles can't be more than five.

Arsenal are having a laugh now, especially when you consider he isn't good enough for their currently substandard team. They should remember they have had some right shit players over the past few years they tried to get cash for, remember when they wanted 16M for Chambers

He was shite
Made one good cross against a team that can’t hold onto the ball and against Ward who’s pretty static and slow.

Was worried pre game that his energy and pace coupled with Gallagher (with Okay sitting in) might really hurt our midfield, but he was anonymous.
He is never a central midfielder on that showing. Wing back is his best position. |

Yep, that’s probably right.

Definitely. He’d be a good right wing back for us. He’s not a No10 is he?!

Well as we have that position filled we don’t need him then and we can close the thread.

I think Maitland -Niles I think if we got him heed take right back for himself He looks slick, good on the ball and likes to join in attacks and never looked out of place at Arsenal, Surprised he went to West Brom even on loan. Replacement for Van Arnholdt or ward?

Who’s your right wing back for us if we play 3-5-2 next season under a new manager then? Ward, Clyne or Ferguson?

The only time I can remember seeing a wing back at Palace was when it was the brainchild of an absolute clown of a manager who had no idea what he was doing.

Judging a player on a loan at a side doomed to relegation? Good job we didn’t take a similar view with Wilf having seen him at Cardiff.
AMN would be a great addition. In fact, I’d be amazed if we had a chance of getting him permanently.

I was actually a little more impressed with him than Gallagher, but in truth neither set my heart a flutter.

Given the money Clyne is supposed to be on, unless he’s first choice I doubt he remains at the club.

It's possible he didn't realise he was assessing the player for a formation that has been changed to accommodate the philosophy of a new manager he didn't know was being appointed
